ok nerd time... So, the queen is crazy in the TV show but in the book, she was way worst. She would abuse woman at quart to make herself feel more powerful. She would take away positions from people she thought weren't attractive and give their authorities to others she thought were cute. She was so paranoid about her brother Tyrion Lannister she thought he was in the walls and hiding under tables. The scene between her and Jamie was invented for the TV show it never happened in the book. In the book she was so disgusted with Jamies missing hand she refused to speak to him and sent away to campaign against the few hold out lords of the north

I just want to point out The rape scene never happened in the books. It was a show creation that I and many others honestly think was complete butllshit for jaime's character.
