It's been so long since I've heard Tyrion's speech this episode and it still hits just as hard.

fucking shae man, even if she was threatened and had to say tyrion was guilty she went way too far

Twiska Brand

To be fair, in the books, we only saw Shae and Tyrion's relationship from his perspective , whereas in the show, it makes her seem like she genuinely loved him. In the books, there is always this doubt because we don't get to see what she is really thinking and every interaction is filtered through his bias. So many book fans believe she only did it for the money. I choose to believe it was real, like the show portrays it.

Yeah this episode really crystallized how Ramsay treats Theon, like a dog. Established dominance, named him, brings him with him on hunts, SPAYED HIM, and now positive reinforcement for “good behavior.”

You know that scene in endgame part 1 when they almost got the gauntlet off Thanos but then Starlord fucks it? That's Shae

Tyrion the goat. And Shae man... The way she switched was so annoying,

BTW, Tyrion really got whitewashed in the show. Like, you can tell that he was probably the show runner's favorite character by far cause no other character gets such a clean make over as he does. Which kind of sucks, cause one of the things about the books is how complex and multifacet the characters can be, even ones you like personally or ones you find pleasant to be around can do some terrible stuff sometimes. Book Tyrion leaned somewhat towards being an incel, he was bitter that Sansa didn't want to fuck him, and thought that if he was Jamie she would spread her legs for him (. . . you know, right after her entire family died and all that. . .) Like, the show makes Shae out to be kind of a bitter bitch, but in the books her betrayl of him is far more understandable and defensible.

I can understand being mad that Varys wouldn't stick up for Tyrion more but he's always been upfront that he's watching out for himself for the good of the realm

Sean B

its not as if varys had a choice. he was called into court to testify of which he couldnt refuse and was asked to confirm a threat of which he couldnt lie about given tywin was also in the room and heard the threat.

Don’t know if it’s a good idea, almost definitely not a moral one, but if Daenerys still intends to return to Westeros, her best bet for sorting the issues of Mereen is killing the entire noble class above a certain age (she can rehome their children). Reconstruction in a former slave society is costly and time consuming, and those that profited from the old status quo will fight you every step of the way. If she decided to spend the next 20-40 years restructuring all of Slaver’s Bay, she could probably make it work, but she wants to take the iron throne. So if she wants to retake Westeros within a decade AND ensure Slaver’s Bay no longer lives up to that name, drastic and likely heavy handed actions will be required.

Tyrion might be the best tv show character OAT
