An inevitable meeting...

TheNinja

No wonder why this version of The Serpent...of Harry Evans is a far cry from the total badass that he was in When Roses Bloom Again...because he's an idiot. Running off in a world or time he doesn't know with hardly anything on him nor any kind of plan. Then to go and run off and bury his head in the sand while the world burns...how very unheroic...most unbecoming of a Potter.

Yash Patwardhan

True, but his view of the world is more jaded. He didn't have Albus, Dipper or the Flamels to meet him, nor do I think he had any kind of relationship with Charlus and the others. He met Summerbee and fell in love so obviously when she was kidnapped he left everything for her. But I still think he will come through in the future.

TheNinja

Perhaps, but somehow I feel there will be some kind of cost. Time and life would be too kind to allow two Harry Potters running around in the same time after all even if there is an age difference.

TheNinja

Honestly would fre up Evans to just have Jameson off Gellert, might partially fix the whole vow deal since he made it to Gellert.

What i dont understand is wasnt "The Serpent" together with Minerva?Or is this again another Timetraveler?

Yvetal247

This is an alternate version of that Harry. He mentioned he finished his education at Beauxbatons instead of hogwarts, meaning he didn’t meet Minerva.

Matthew

I liked the little tidbit where he saw her in the common room but didn’t recognize her. Nice little detail.

Yash Patwardhan

Maybe, but whatever happens next will surely be interesting. I think this story has the most dangerous antagonists from what we've seen so far. Not just magically powerful but cunning as hell and working in the shadows.

Ohhhh, last chapter I thought there was a 3rd time traveller lol. Guess I was wrong. The meeting between HE v2 and Jameson was great, but it's harsh on HE v2 to be blamed for taking a vow. Considering he had little help, he did well for himself and I'm happy he got his little family. I hope he's somehow released from his vow. Also, I'm still concerned that he still has Voldemort's soul. Lastly, I'm glad Amelia knows now. Anyway, thank you for the chapter and I look forward to the next one.

TheNinja

Plus Minerva definitely woulda been able to tell if Jameson looked liked Harry when she saw him at Hogwarts if this version of Evans had been with her.

TheNinja

Basically they are like HYDRA.

TheNinja

Seems more likely that he does still have the piece of Tom's soul maybe, though he might have gotten rid of it somehow too.

Brilliant stuff!!!

Great chapter. Harry comes clean with Amelia, we get a look at Harry the First, and Voldemort is beginning to clue in that Harry Mk1 and Harry Mk2 might be a bit more trouble than he wanted. If he was smart, he’d go enjoy a century long vacation, learning magic, and return to Britain when they’re both dead. Unfortunately, Voldemort is more about ego than smarts.

Hadrian v.E.

Why do your HP stories always have to devolve to this singularly stupid point of Harry blabbering about his previous life? And it was already annoying enough to see Amelia almost hyperventilating like some hysterical idiot. AFY!Evans is a failure, someone who was willing to risk a large portion of the Wizarding World falling to Grindelwald's authoritarian ambitions because he and Eleanor weren't competent enough to avoid having her resting location found out. And now he has the temerity of offering relationship advice to a more successful Harry variant.

Hadrian v.E.

"He wasn’t feeling sorry for himself. Harry had stopped pitying his position long ago." If that was true, he wouldn't have used the "woe is me, please let me foist my backstory onto you" on Amelia.

Rhett Sellers

You have an error in the chapter. Harry mentions he came back in time 20 years, but considering you wrote his arrival at 1962, he traveled back closer to 40 years from approx 2002
