One more chapter after this and then there will be another time skip....

I hate you because I have to wait for more content to be written, and I can’t just binge it all in one go. Such a great chapter!

Like the story. But... It is jarring when people are seemingly older than they should be, and things have happened when they shouldn't have yet. F eks Mance Rayder joining the Freefolk didn't happen until Robb and John were at least 15-17 y/o, ie 297-299 AAC.

Yeah I don’t really understand how Hard home played out the same way when it shouldn’t have happened for another 16 years or so in the original timeline

Really like the story and am excited to see what happens but I can’t shake the dread every time Lyanna interacts with Jamie. A Lyanna/Jamie pairing would ruin this story for me. I know Jamie had a nice little redemption arc in cannon but I don’t think I will ever be able to see him as anything other then the guy that fucks his twin sister and shoves Lyanna’s nephew off a tower crippling him. In the end the only redeemable Lannister is Tyrion and I’d rather see Lyanna stay single. Nobody deserves her anyway.

What happened to the giants? Were they at Hardhome?

Yeah, I was noticing this as well. Its somewhat common for ages to be tweaked in fanfiction, but usually its only by a bit. If its extensive, like here, I find authors often make a note at some point in the story. I just think things in Westeros were wrapped up too neatly, and too quickly, and so the author needed to bring forward the conflict with the Other to have something to write about.

If there is one criticism I can apply across most of the author's works, its that the author rarely takes culture into account in the ways that it should affect story flow. In some of the harry potter stories, it is harry somehow knowing and acting like a pureblood despite that not being something he would even know, much less something his personality would push him to do. Here, Dalla uses modern metaphors instead of something from her experience or culture, and Marbrand is advising Ned to wed to form a bond between peoples - which he would not do. Wildlings are considered savages by most Westerosi. It is one thing to have him agree to shelter them for a military reason, and another for him to advise the son of a Lord Paramount to wed one. He would be much more likely to be muttering about the savages needing to be kept in their place. If this type of thing is more closely examined by the author and accounted for in the future, I believe it will really help their writing
