Since you are now seeing this poll live, that means I have finished writing the very last words of Avalon.

As ever, I will give my thoughts on that upon posting the very last chapter, but it has been an enjoyable ride.

WIth that being said, now comes the final decision on what is to come next, and although I say it often, I cannot put into words just how grateful I am for the ongoing support I receive from each of you.

Now, below are the final two options.

Both will certainly be interesting and entertaining journeys with many twists and turns along the way.

Of course, feel free to comment and ask questions below, and I will reply.

For those of you anticipating the next chapter of TSOTWR, I am currently working on it, but have been focused on finishing the last chapters of Avalon, which is now finally complete.

I shall get back to it with more regular updates soon enough.

Crossing Over (Inspired by the unfinished work Passageways by Jerrway69 (Harry/ Cassiopeia Black)

For those of you unfamiliar with the story mentioned above, I have linked it here: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/8378840/1/Passageways

With Sirius having been killed in the Department of Mysteries, Harry wishes only to escape the haunting memory of his Godfather passing through the veil, but such a blessing could never be.

Perhaps it was a moment of madness, or one of hope that he returned to the Ministry of Magic to see for himself that Sirius was truly gone, or maybe it was to get closure on yet another miserable chapter of his life.

Upon arriving, however, the voices he heard whispering to him became clearer, speaking to him of another place where his godfather was not dead. All he needed to do was use the cloak left to him by his father to follow Sirius.

What could go wrong?

Okay, so there is a lot to unpack with this story...

Time will move differently between each world, which will be explained as the story progresses.

In the new world Harry finds himself in, he will meet a younger Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald before the breakdown in their relationship.

Harry will inadvertently change things from his own universe, and not necessarily for the better when it comes to the wars to come. (Maybe Harry vs Dumbledore/Grindelwald or Harry vs Dumbledore vs Grindelwald, with maybe some back and forth working together between the three to suit them... who knows?

The relationship between him and Cassiopeia will be an enemies>lovers thing. It will certainly not be straight forward.

The Hallows will feature in this, of course, and Harry will use the Peverell name, which gives you a clue as to why both Dmbledore and Gellert are interested in him initially.

As ever, this will be a darker grey Harry, with a slew of characters returning from previous stories, and new ones to boot.

Any questions, do drop them below...

A Promise Kept (Harry goes to Ilvermorny, Rated M)

Sirius arrives in Godric's Hollow to find the Potter home in ruins.

Upon crossing the threshold, he finds the body of his best friend, and hurry's upstairs to find Harry alive but sporting the mark of a dark curse, and an unconscious but alive Lily Potter.

As he contemplates his revenge on the man that betrayed them, the woman wakes, and Sirius knows that they are not safe here.

What happened to the Dark Lord, he cannot be sure.

All that remains of the man is his discared wand and torn robes upon the floor.

Despite his lack of understanding of what has occurred, he knows he needs to get Harry and Lily to safety, and as Hagrid arrives, there is only one place that comes to mind...

Voldemort keeps his promise to Snape not to kill Lily

LIly survives and believes that Britain is not safe for her and her son.

Sirius helps her flee to America where they live in hiding whilst raising Harry, who attends Ilvermorny, but of course, he cannot escape his Fate.

I do not want to give too much away here, but there will be romance, and Harry will return to Britain when it fits with the story.

There will be a slew of new characters to explore, and a whole new magical culture, different magics, and maybe even companions...

Sirius and Lily will NOT be romantically involved.

We need to see Lily raise Harry

Christopher DiLena

I’ve seen one or two stories that start like this. I can’t wait to see what you do. You are an awesome writer.

Zai

A promise kept I don't want 2 different timelines again already and I really am curious in how you would portray Illvermony and wizards in Usa and the different magics that would come with that.

Nimmeron Maelstrom

I love the idea of both but I really hope to see “A Promise Kept” - there aren’t enough good, long stories where Sirius, let alone Lilly, take Harry into hiding after Voldemort’s attack and raise him in secret. The other option, while also something I definitely want to see, definitely has notes of “When the Roses Bloom Again”. Not that that’s a bad thing at all!

NM Magpie

I know it didn't make the final cut this time, but I hope that someday you will do the Godfather story that was in previous polls.

Bladesunder

I really thought godfather one was making the cut based on votes, bummer.

RC

Honestly, I dont have a preference.. Id just like to see multiple chapters updates/ month of the sword of the winter rose please

Durdens Wrath

I really hope Promise Kept wins. Crossing over seems like more of the same last three stories.

Durdens Wrath

Same. Time travel feels like a crutch and I need a break from it.

Demitas

I like the idea of crossing over, but not so much if he goes back and forth. On the other hand, it also feels very similar to your previous stories, while a promise kept seems new. I'd like to see a Harry who gets to be a kid for a bit

ben

Holy hell that’s a close vote

Shaitan

Both seem amazing. Will the other come up next if it’s not picked? I’m happy with either frankly

Joe Neal

A Promise Kept. I love your Peverell stories, but we need to see Harry grow up again.

Brian Dibbins

Both look interesting, but the reference to 'darker grey Harry' tipped my preference to the Ilvermorny fic as I'd like a holiday from reading darker Harry fics.

Gaurav Agarwal

A Promise kept,. We have had multiple stories now with Peverell/Hallows and in the Dumbledore/Grindelwald time. So will give you and ua both a fresh story

Muhammad Abdur Rehman

Everybody, including me, in the comments is for " A promise kept". Whereas the vote is going in favour of the other one. Why??

Maxwell Shaw

Hmmm not slytherin eh??? Better be ILVERMORNY

AmateurSorcerer

I just want to take a break from time travel, hopefully it sill be ilvermony

Neznama12

I love stories with GG

Nicolas P.

As before, I’ve put down my voice for a promise kept. I think, for me, it come down to the fact I like a bit of balance between time travel stories and non time travel. And I’d really like to see a Ilvermorny story

Cal Duffy

I would rather see crossing over but is promise kept wins can we have it already be a Harry/Hannah pairing

Chase Sifford

Honestly, I really need a break from the time travel stories. I won't drop my membership but I probably won't be here much until the HP/ ASOIAF crossover if Crossing Over wins

Ray Edwards

Voting for crossing over but man near 50/50

Jeremy Boyet

honestly not surprised at where the poll is right now, it's pretty much how i feel too. 50/50, would love both, it was hard to make a choice.

Itsyaboytrav

I would like to see a teenage Harry face off against both a teenage Dumbledore an Grindelwald. A Promise Kept gives off Written in the Stars Vibes and that story while well written, was the the least rememberable out of your stories. Plus with the planed pairing, it just seems far less exciting.

André Ferreira

Promise kept is my choice but ill be here anyway

Justaguy33

Look I love the idea of crossing over, but at the same time I’m kinda burnt out when it comes to time travel fics of yours. So personally I want a promise kept to win, and hopefully crossing over is an option with your next HP fic after a promise kept. If crossing over wins then I hope a promise kept is one of the options next time, as always I love your work Lee.

Isaac Mir

harry going to ilvermorny seems more interesting then the cross over. Also I believe we have had to many time travel fanfics, so I think it will be more interesting to have a harry raised by lily and living life as a child instead of the time travel ones. But I'm not bothered by which one that wins I will still read both

Deity

Not another written in the stars... 😩

FangRu

Definitely Promise kept. Love fics with young Dumbledore and Grinmdelwald. There is just not many of them. I do not care about Ilvermony and there is too much of those with Sirius or Lily raising Harry...

Preboo

Promise kept all they way! But im here for whatever you make :)

Moe

umm my vote made it 50/50 quick someone vote!

Kyosuke Sagara

Damn the poll is close. Still 50-50. I'm hoping for 'A promise kept', but I don't think I would mind either. WTRBA is my favourite fanfic of all time, and crossing over seems like it would be similar. Looking forward to your next work!

Robert

I swapped from another Grindelwald-story to America with Lily Potter because I think you can do it justice and none currently exists. Where you did a very excellent job on Roses bloom.
