Well looks like Harry's gonna be getting some good and proper training and Sirius is doing a damn good job controlling any potential chaos and stupidity at Hogwarts that could be caused by Malfoy and Fudge.

Very much enjoying Sirius Black and the Chamber of Secrets. It's just really fun to read and I like how different but familiar it feels. I find myself having little interest in Harry with how he is atm.... Merlin incarnate who's already primed to beat Voldermort.... yawnnn. Somehow has a sensitivity to magic, something which Harry (surrogate son of Tom) only managed early due to doing your judgement ritual. I need Remus to join Sirius soon. Half the Marauders back for Sirius Black and the Prisoner of Askaban (probs a death eater). Also, why wouldn't Ron be friends with Hermione. Yes, they bickered, but Ron and Hermione had their moments and ultimately got married. Harry doesn't need to be the catalyst for this.

I'm in the same spot as Sunny is right now. I'm really enjoying the Sirius arc but Harry is a bit too one dimensional at the moment. He needs some real hardship and trusting your writing, it will come eventually. I get the sense that Sirius will die before Harry is done with school, similar to William in WTRBA. Maybe you'll kill off Lily (Pandora Lovegood-esque?) as well, but I moreso feel that she will lightly parallel your Angelica Potter. Currently, Sirius's death would harden Harry but Lily's demise would break him totally. I'm still really enjoying the story though. It definitely lives up to your usual standards, imo.

I agree about both Harry and Sirius right now. However, Harry is still a boy with plenty of room to grow. There's not a chance in Hell that Lee doesn't make Harry suffer and grow into a more well rounded character. I'm going to trust his process for now and just enjoy the ride.

Because Ron damn near hated Hermione in first year. If you’ll remember he was the reason she was crying in the bathroom. He would still be that petty and she would be just as obnoxious. Without Harry to mediate they wouldn’t really get along at this age. When they both mature somewhat then sure, but at this stage in their lives they would need a mediator and that was Harry. I think that the issue with Harry right now is that nothing is actually happening. That’s the problem with most stories that don’t have him at Hogwarts. The plot is is Britain, so if he is in America he is kind of meaningless. Still, we are already almost done year 2 so just a few more chapters for the story to really begin I would think with the triwizard Tournament.
