I’m a bit confused as to having Harry appear before the ICW. Fedorov said that he wanted Harry to speak with them, but he ends up only getting a medal and one inappropriate question. Everything else was being taken care of by viewing memories. So what was the point of Harry going there? I kind of expected him to provide some sort of assessment of the situation, to talk about what he had observed. Did you first have one intention with the scene that ended up different once you wrote it?

This! I was so confused that I scrolled back looking for a throwaway line like "and then they questioned him for an hour", but there was nothing. Seems ridiculous to call Harry there and say "were you there on the day we saw you there in all the memories?" and then shuffle him out the door.

Plus one was confused what the purpose was or if it was just to give him a medal and expose him publicly Also did he go in some sort of disguise or as Harry evans? I presume disguised but wasn’t sure

Had the same thought that it was about drawing attention to Harry for the sake of the plot, but it just didn’t seem to be justified.

I mean if he goes by serpent then he has the disguise all the time otherwise why even have an alias? It would fall apart after they ask any student if they recognise him?

Still confused at how dippet and dumbledore can simultaneously hear of grindlewalds actions, acknowledge him as terrible, and at the same time also ask Harry to just ignore him while hiding away themselves. They clearly don’t understand grindlewald is coming for England too eventually, so confusing the dissonance Good to see Harry take some time off, I’d really love to see him use his connection with the flamels to get frances guard up more and make grindlewald have a tougher time Looking forward to the tense conversations with dumbledore as Harry finally unleashes his frustration at the man being a shit backseat driver while abdicating responsibility for his friend and the cause he once championed personally while sending idiots like newt who have no business in covert operations to die on his behalf Curious how the potters/minnie respond to harrys insistence he will continue his work zero fucks given about grindlewald I’m quite looking forward to seeing how nott responds to her protege getting in the crosshairs of grindlewald.

Kind of thinking that it might be similar to why Hitler’s rise was ignored. Unless you fully commit to stopping him, even if it means war, there isn’t much you can do. And given the horrors of the previous war there was little appetite for that. I guess Dumbledore is an army unto himself though and has less of an excuse than Chamberlain, but it seems like he just isn’t ready to commit to potentially killing his old friend/lover.

The issue I have is dumbledore was with grindlewald for the initial greater good rise to power til Ariana died, so he knows very well what kind of person grindlewald is and what his goals are as well as how far he is willing to go Hitler was relatively unknown to most major powers especially given his background wasn’t really military oriented so his threat wasn’t well recognized til far after appeasement failed Grindlewald has been terrorizing for over a decade including fucking with dangerous obscurus. Dippet may be naive but dumbledore shouldn’t be

I really hope he doesn’t take any bollocking from anyone lying down. I know Armando and Dumbledore will try and talk him out of it, as will Minerva, Charlus and possibly the elder Potters. I could easily see it getting old quite quickly, and I hope the Flamels don’t do the same. Harry needs someone in his corner, and I think it would solidify his connection to them even more.

Harry is gonna take the fight to Grindlewald and his minions, would be nice to take out Hitler and Mussolini too, but that would change to much history!

Action Harry is fun to read; more of that please. I know its a bit weird but I am kind of digging the idea of Harry/Minerva. I think its because of the similarities between Hermione and Minerva.

To be honest I didnt give it second thought. I just assumed Fedorov knew about the medal and assumed Harry wouldnt want to come if he knew about it.

I would have liked a scene where Harry was questioned, but the rest of it was pretty good. Hope we get see more of the ministers and Arcturus, he's been rather quiet... Great chapter!
