I literally went into the next to last chapter thinking about ‘Okay what new coat of paint is going on the Harry beats Voldemort wall this time’. But this was a very well done rug pull that made me appreciate how we really can’t know how this fated fight will end until we get to it

This was the perfect ending. All in all I would say this was your darkest entry in your Potterverse so the ending fit that perfectly while also still giving the hard hitting feelings that you are so good at delivering at the end of each story

I was grumpy when I first read the ending. But then towards the end of the epilogue I saw reason. It was the only way it could go. It was just unfortunately abrupt, and I should’ve realized when there were only 3 chapters left and the wedding just happened.

This was good and bad for me, the story was good and the ending while bittersweet makes sense. The bad part for me is that I dont re read stories with this type of ending but thanks for the fic great ride as always.

HEY.... I called it (see past comments on other chapters). I did sense something ominous for this Harry and I'm glad that you didn't have him create a horcrux. While it would've been a surprise, you're ryt that it would've cheapen Harry's arc. A paragraph from Hermione and Ron's perspective would've been nice, but overall the epilogue was refreshing and on the whole I would say that this story is probs my 4th favourite. Well not gonna lie sir it sucked...but knew was gonna be sort of bittersweet. Death after all always gets it's due one way or the other Harry had come to accept that and knew it going into that final battle. Least next one will be bit more lighthearted though so there is that.

Wow, I kind of guessed that he would remain dead but it's still very surprising. And definitely bittersweet. It's rare that any author allows one of these stories to end like this, where it's not really a total victory because the hero is dead, but this was incredibly well done. Thanks again for yet another wonderful tale.

was not a fan of this one. I really liked your other stories like whispers of a raven that is nr 1 on my list and roses being a close nr 2. Mostly am I not a fan of oc characters, especially in main character roles and the ending was for me depressing. sure he knows he has a family, but does it even matter when u can't be there for them.

What a horrible ending! Not even JKR would’ve done that! Up until it got romance heavy, this was my favorite fic of yours. Just wish the second half was as good or better than the first, but it seems it all went down hill with the intro to sister Nott.
