An end tot he first arc of the story and we will have some time skips throughout...

Also, I am aiming to have another chapter of Winter Rose out before the new year. I took a few days off writing it over Christmas.

Well, Harry is constant in his hate for the press:-D

Really enjoying seeing Harry through Dumbledore and Moodys perspective. It’ll be interesting to hear what the students think of him.

Does anyone know what year we're in, cause Voldy became more outgoing around 75', so it will be interesting to know where we are in the story?? Also, it would be a good opportunity to include the Blacks & Potters in the next arc, assuming the Marauders will be coming to Hogwarts. Anyway, thank you for the chapter Mr McCusker, especially during the holiday season, and I look forward to the next one.

Voldemort officially/openly started his campaign in 1970 in canon and we are currently in 62. But with the changes Lee has already made to the timeline - like Voldemort already having reapplied for and having jinxed the DADA position, which didn't happen until 65 at the absolute earliest in canon - we don't really know where he'll take things from here.

I find it amusing that the foolish bootlickers think they are actually gonna get the drop on Bones. She's paranoid by nature and has a sharp and keen eye. Not to mention she has Jameson keeping tabs of sorts on her.

Not surprised that Harry wanted to avoid the press I mean he has always been vocal about his hatred of them, heck pretty well established even in canon that he strongly disliked that kind of attention. Plus..provided a bit of amusement to see them hound Bones. And of course more of their flirty/not flirty banter where they both dish it and take it. I swear the more ya learn and see of their interactions the more they fit with each other.

Sunny

Thanks for the reply.

Great chapter. It was nice to see Harry’s hatred for media come shining through, and is apparently being adopted by Amelia. Sending the pack to an isolated portion of Canada was a nice touch. Alastor digging into Harry like a dog with a bone is true to character. LeStrange, Yaxley, etc.. have not yet learned that ignorance is bliss.
