Hey guys, how is everyone's week going? 🌞

After the weekend's poem about a difficult experience I've been working through, I dipped back into the poetry book once again.

I opted for this letter, which tries to capture all the pieces of advice I would give to my younger self.  I'm not entirely proud of my past or the person I once was, but I wouldn't be who I am today without those mistakes I made.

Dear Past Self.

I've never been able to answer that question of "what advice would you give to your younger self?". I instead, opted for this letter. Though I'm not entirely proud of my past or the person I once was, I wouldn't be who I am today without those mistakes I made. Honestly, I'd probably just go back and give her a hug. What advice would you give to your past self? Let me know in the comments below........ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear past self - thank you for being stubborn. For not listening to people when they told you That quitting would be the best thing for you. Your perseverance is paying off. Dear past self - thank you for your naivety. Though not much has changed, and I still trust too quickly, I know I’ll always come out the other side. I’m still not jaded - just aware. Dear past self - thank you for your tears. Those rivers of emotion I still draw from, When my well of creative spirit runs dry. Your pain paints pictures to this day. Dear past self - you were right. You can’t love others until you love yourself, but, We had to learn what unconditionally meant first. Dear past self - the lighting bolts don't bother us any more, But I’m sorry you had to hide away for so long. Dear past self - not everyone cares as much as we do. Thankfully; because the mental static would be exhausting And no cups of tea would ever get made. Dear past self - we’re still misunderstood. But I think that’s for the best, Our true colours are a little much for most. Dear past self - I forgive you. All the things you thought I’d hate you for, became valuable pearls of wisdom. I know now what not to do. Dear past self - I know things are hard for you, And you feel like there is no way out. But I promise it gets better, and I wouldn’t have known that if it wasn’t for you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks so much for watching and I hope you're having a happy day. A few years ago I made the decision to offer my support unconditionally. Somehow I could tell there was a soul that truly was deserving. A little effort on my part could maybe have a larger effect on someone else and help them fully realize their potential. You are doing it kiddo. :-)

Dear past Janet, Que será, será , Whatever will be, will be , The future's not ours to see , Que será, sera. But if you'd like a spoiler or two, here is few. You will travel and enjoy the world. You will lie. You will get tattoos. You will be a movie star. You will not compare yourself to anyone and therefore you are unique. You will end up in a police car. You will be forgiven. You will run, quite fast, and be fit. You will meet all kind of people. You will sing, and it'll bring tears to people's eyes. You will get to see Notre Dame before it burns. You will end up in the same picture with world's fastest guy and some Weasley. You will get good laughs about gongs and nuggets with some weird Do-Crew. You will say thank you about 90 times in 90 minute show. You will still be loved. So I don't wanna give you any advice, you'll get all this by just doing what seems right. Wait, there is one advice: Remember to enjoy little things. (Like first Coltsfoots on a roadside at spring!! Little yellow flowers made me happy today because spring is near with every fifty-seven shades of green.)

Beautiful as always! I myself would be afraid to give my past self any advice other than to keep going. All of my decisions, the good, the bad and even the painful have created the person that I am today. Even though I don't always like the person that I am, I am a hell of a lot better than the person I was. Have a wonderful day/night Janet!

We have all made mistakes in our past Janet! But learning from them, always makes us a better person, and can always look to a brighter future! 💜💖💜💖💜

I humbly must inquire, have you also written a poem to your future self?
