Last Resort - Papa Roach (Janet Devlin Cover)

We all know by now that I’m a little emo girl at heart and nothing says 2000’s angst quite like this song. I had to fight the urge to put my skinny jeans and fingerless gloves on for this! It’s easy to forget how much this song used to hit me as a teen. How every feeling at the time was so heavy. Everything was a first; first heartbreak, first friendship fall out, first time getting bullied. I didn’t know at that age that it would all be alright and that it was just scary because I’d never got through it before. So I wanted to try and channel it in this little stripped back version. I hope you enjoy! If you do, don’t forget to share it! Sharing is caring after all. Go wild and smash all those buttons too for that algorithm boost juice! Once again you've given us a song that I've heard for years, but never listened to until now. 🥺❤️

We just lost a 13-year-old friend to suicide a few weeks ago so it's pretty raw for me. But this is a powerful rendition that I can relate to... the original is just hard for me to listen to. Please take good care of yourselves everyone. ❤️

We just lost a young family friend to suicide after fighting mental health issues. This song is very intense and raw. Thank you for the way you presented this Janet. We have to recognize out fears before we can work to relieve them. Take care.

HAUNTINGLY BEAUTIFUL JANET. YOUR TALENT IS INCREDIBLE. ANOTHER TRACK THAT COULD EASILY BE AN ALBUM TRACK

Hi! Janet. I hope you/family/Friends in good Health!? Is there any Track/Song Janet Devlin cannot "Take" To the Next Level

David Messmer

Hearing a new song from you is like how you felt when you hugged a koala for the first time. This is what we live for. Life is so short and challenging but I hope that you have many many koala moments on your own journey and I thank you for the koala moments that you continuously give me. Love is apparently fickle. 10 years ago.ish you sang in a Camden club that in 10 years time I wouldn't remember your name. Hey Janet Devlin I remember your name and I still love that amazing voice of yours and it still blows my mind.

You sing this song with the sadness and emotional trauma the lyrics intended....Painful. A brilliant job with the arrangement! Good idea for the warning. Sobering as a loved one close to me has been doing the self mutilating and I feel useless as I can't do anything about it...
