“Barbie Girl” in a minor key - Aqua (Janet Devlin Cover)

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about the barbie movie since I seen it three weeks ago. So naturally I had to do what I always do… make a minor version. This time of Aqua’s original “Barbie Girl”. I also did a little bit of a rewrite to the lyrics to incorporate my feelings after the movie. I went to watch a camp comedy and ended up crying my eyes out. I hope you enjoy! OMG, being a musician myself, alto, tenor, baritone saxophone, this cover of "Barbie Girl" is so haunting, the key change and paying close attention to the lyrics, one comes to realized how unbelievably dark the song is. Janet, such an amazing voice you have.
