I'm traveling to Chicago for VCFMW this week, so here is extremely early access to this week's video! Today, we're installing Windows 11 on our 2005 Sun Ultra 40. Which may be a slightly cursed thing to do.

It's actually surprising how well it runs. I know it's a very high end PC of that era, with a stripped down version of Win11, but still.... You could still daily-drive this thing with Linux, assuming you swap the PSU with something that's easier on the power bill

If it were literally anybody else, I would ask "why the hell would you want, let alone bother to even try, to do this?" and exclaim "this is a terrible idea, don't bother, the result will be nothing but headaches and spite. Run Linux or get a new machine." But you? You get a pass. You very mundane, well-adjusted person, you. Go do some totally normal computing.👍
