Story Preview

Edward Harrington arrived in Lisbon expecting five days of strategy meetings, investor dinners, and quiet nights in a riverside hotel. The city was meant to be a backdrop for business, nothing more than tiled streets, warm air, and a waiting car arranged by the concierge.

Then he met the chauffeur.

Tiago Fernandes, soft spoken and impossibly handsome, stepped out of a black luxury sedan on Edward’s first night. He opened the door with a polite nod, unaware that those few seconds of eye contact were about to unravel the rest of Edward’s trip. What begins as professionalism soon grows into something far more charged. Low lit rides through Alfama. Stolen glances in the rear mirror. Conversations that never go where either of them intends.

Five nights. One foreign city. Two men who should ignore what is building between them but fail a little more every evening.

By the time the rain comes sweeping down the hills of Lisbon, the line between desire and control has already blurred. And when Edward invites Tiago upstairs on the final night, neither of them can pretend it was ever about business.

Character Introductions

Edward Harrington, 29

The expat. British, polished, and successful. Confident in public, restless when alone. Blond hair, green eyes, tailored shirts, a body that shows hours at the gym. Came to Lisbon for a deal he cannot afford to lose. Did not expect to meet someone who unsettles him more than the negotiations.

Tiago Fernandes, 20

The chauffeur. Portuguese, warm brown innocent eyes, dark hair, athletic build, quietly intense. Recently moved out of his family home to survive on his own terms. Respectful and well mannered on the surface, flustered underneath. He tries to stay professional but finds himself drawn to the older man in the back seat from the first night.
