All characters depicted in this story are fictional and 18 years of age or older. Everything portrayed is safe, sane, and consensual.

Something new is coming.

A new camp.New men.New problems.

And this time
the tension isn’t just in the training.

Welcome to Camp Blackridge, where the days are brutal, the nights are long, and the men in the barracks are a lot harder to ignore than they should be.

Let me introduce you to the men you’ll be meeting soon.

Callum Rhodes – 22 | Recruit

Callum Rhodes enlisted after a spectacularly messy broken engagement and a lifetime of trying to prove he wasn’t the disappointment his father always hinted he was. At 6'1 with a natural varsity-athlete build and an easy confidence that makes people gravitate toward him, he looks like the classic straight guy every recruit instantly befriends. He’s sharp, sarcastic, competitive, and dangerously good at reading people. Which becomes a problem the moment he realizes that the most intimidating man in camp has started watching him a little too closely.

You’ll be entering Camp Blackridge through the eyes of Callum; our narrator.

Ryder Callahan – 22 | Recruit

Ryder is the kind of guy who makes boot camp feel less like punishment and more like a locker room. Loud, confident, and effortlessly charming, he’s the recruit everyone ends up gravitating toward after lights out. With his easy grin and constant stories about girls back home, he seems like the most straightforward straight guy in the barracks. But sharing a bunk bed with Callum starts blurring lines neither of them expected
especially when fake flirting stops feeling like a joke.

Sergeant Dominic Ashford – 32 | Drill Instructor

Every recruit hears about Sergeant Ashford before they ever meet him. Tall, disciplined, and dangerously composed, he carries the reputation of a man who turns cocky recruits into soldiers without ever raising his voice. His blond hair is cropped sharp, his stare is colder than the night drills, and his authority in the barracks is absolute. He calls Callum “Recruit Rhodes” with perfect professional distance
while singling him out for extra drills, late-night inspections, and corrections that linger just a little too long.

Alistair Beckett – 23 | Recruit

Alistair Beckett looks like he walked out of a prestigious London academy and straight into basic training just to prove a point. Sharp-eyed, brutally sarcastic, and fiercely competitive, he seems to take personal pleasure in getting under Callum’s skin. He constantly mocks him about “daddy issues” and the attention he gets from Sergeant Ashford. Yet somehow Alistair is always nearby
 always watching
and always volunteering for the same drills.

Julian Park – 21 | Recruit

Julian is the quiet one most people underestimate. Calm, observant, and thoughtful, he’s the recruit who notices things others miss. While the rest of the barracks tries to outdo each other in toughness, Julian simply tries to survive training and keep his head down. He becomes the one person Callum can talk to honestly when the tension between the men around him starts getting complicated.

Some men become friends in the barracks. Some become rivals.

And some become dangerous distractions.

The Men In My Barracks is coming soon.

And trust me
Camp Blackridge is about to get interesting.

Hey you guys,This is going to be a fun, military-style story and I’m really excited to share it with you.

Quick disclaimer: if any terms, ranks, procedures, or details seem a little off or inconsistent, please remember I’m your friendly neighborhood Troy, not an actual recruit. 😄 Most of what I know comes from shows, movies, and a lot of late-night internet reading.

So if something isn’t perfectly accurate, don’t stress about it. The goal here is a good story, great characters, and a wild ride through the barracks.

Hope you enjoy it.— Troy <3

I am volunteering to be Sergeant Dominick Ashfords Clerk, who stays in his quansi hut. I will help him with all of his needs, from filling paperwork, to being drilled by the sergeant, since he is a drill sergeant.

Just from this introduction it is clear this story will bring back memories and fantasies of when I was the Captain of a “Special Functions”unit
