Future Story Poll: Lucien Castle (Patreon)

Well...

My Best Friend's Brother Season 3 is finally over.

Honestly, I still can't believe this story ended up getting three full seasons. What started as a simple idea turned into one of the biggest stories I've ever written, and Troy and Dylan have been part of my life for a very long time now.

And while I know a lot of readers will inevitably ask about a Season 4.

I don't think that's going to happen.

Not because I don't love the characters, but because I genuinely feel like Troy and Dylan's story has reached its natural conclusion. Their journey feels complete to me, and I don't want to keep a story going simply for the sake of continuing it.

But...

Lucien, on the other hand... 😉

As I was writing Episode 23, the conversation between Troy and Lucien about Jake got me thinking.

Lucien is such a fascinating character.

He's wealthy, successful, extremely attractive, intelligent, and seemingly has everything figured out. Yet underneath all of that, there's still so much we don't know about him. Throughout Season 3, he was often present in the background of the story, but we never really got to step inside his head or understand what life looks like from his perspective.

And the more I thought about it, the more I started wondering whether Lucien might deserve a story of his own.

What if Lucien got a spin-off?

The idea would be a completely new series set after the events of My Best Friend's Brother Season 3.

It would follow Lucien as the main character, dealing with life after his breakup with Troy, navigating relationships, facing challenges in his personal and professional life, and eventually finding love.

A few things I already know:

✨ The story would be told entirely from Lucien's POV✨ It would be set primarily in Paris✨ It would revolve around Lucien's world, career, friendships, and love life✨ It would have a very different tone from My Best Friend's Brother✨ Completely new cast✨ Troy, Dylan, and the rest of the cast would not be part of the main story (perhaps a small cameo at most)

Most importantly, it would be written as a completely standalone romance. Readers wouldn't need to have read My Best Friend's Brother to enjoy it.

Right now, I have absolutely no plot.

No love interest.

No release date.

No outline.

Just an idea.

But sometimes that's exactly how my favourite stories begin.

This poll isn't a promise that the story will happen. It's simply me trying to gauge interest long before I invest time into planning it. If it ever moves forward, it would likely be something released towards the end of 2026 (or even next year )
