Newsletter #6 (Patreon)
Content
Hiii,
And just like that... welcome to July 👀
I honestly don't know where the first half of the year went. It feels like we were just talking about New Year's goals, and now we're somehow heading into another month filled with story finales, new releases, and far too many fictional men making questionable decisions.
This newsletter is going to be a shorter one.
At least... I'm going to do my best to keep it short 😭
Story Finale Weeks
Over the next 2 week, you'll see two major stories come to an end:
My Best Friend's Brother: Dylan Season 3andMy Russian Billionaire Boss
It's always a strange feeling reaching the end of a story. As a writer, you spend months living with these characters, planning scenes, thinking about future episodes, and then suddenly you're writing the final chapters.
And honestly... I think both of these stories are ending exactly where they're supposed to.
My Best Friend's Brother: Dylan Season 3
I've thoroughly enjoyed bringing Dylan back for a third season.
When I originally finished earlier seasons, I never knew whether there would be enough interest for me to revisit these characters again. So the fact that so many of you still care about Troy and Dylan enough for me to justify a Season 3 is something I'm incredibly grateful for.
And now we've reached a turning point.
Jake knows.
(And for anyone who hasn't read the latest episode yet... consider this your very late spoiler warning 😭)
After everything that's happened, Jake now knows about Troy and Dylan.
And understandably... he's not exactly thrilled.
What's interesting to me isn't just that he's upset.
It's why he's upset.Does Jake have a right to be angry? Is he upset because his best friend is dating his brother?Or is he upset because his brother is dating his best friend?
Those might sound like the same thing, but they're actually very different questions.
Jake has always existed at the center of this relationship in a strange way. Troy came into Dylan's life because of Jake. Dylan came into Troy's life because of Jake. And now suddenly these two people have built something together that exists independently of him.
That's not always an easy thing to process.
Especially when you're only finding out after the fact.
The next three episodes, Episodes 23 through 25, will answer all of those questions.
You'll see how Jake reacts.
You'll see whether he accepts what's happening.
And you'll see how Troy and Dylan navigate what could potentially be one of the biggest challenges their relationship has faced.
Most importantly, you'll get the closure this story deserves.
I've laughed, stressed, and occasionally wanted to shake these characters while writing them, but I genuinely love where their journey ends.
I hope you do too.
My Russian Billionaire Boss
Meanwhile, over in the world of billionaires, boardrooms, and corporate warfare...
Viktor and Kai have finally obtained the documentation needed for Viktor's reinstatement at Volkov Security.
After everything they've endured together, the secrets, betrayals, investigations, and power struggles, they've emerged stronger than ever.
And after that beautiful night beneath the Sicilian stars, their relationship feels different.
More secure.More honest.More mature.
What started as attraction has grown into something much deeper.
Something worth fighting for.
Now all that's left is the final obstacle.
The board meeting.
The final two episodes will bring the corporate storyline to its conclusion and resolve the questions that have been hanging over Viktor's future since the very beginning.
Will he regain control? Will those responsible finally face consequences?
And what does the future actually look like for Viktor and Kai once the battle is over?
I've known the ending of this story for a very long time.
In fact, some elements of the finale were planned before I'd even written the first few episodes.
So getting to finally put those pieces into place has been incredibly satisfying.
The story will conclude with an epilogue showing the aftermath of the board meeting and where each major character ultimately ends up.
I've done my best to make sure everyone receives the ending they deserve.
So yes...
Over the next two weeks, we'll be saying goodbye to two stories that have been a huge part of Patreon for the last few months.
Enjoy the ride while it lasts.
I know I certainly am ❤️
Collaboration with Blake Hart
Yes, you read that right.
This month, you'll be getting a special collaboration story with fellow gay romance writer Blake Hart.
Blake is someone I've known since the very beginning of my Patreon journey. Over the past year, we've become good friends, constantly bouncing ideas off each other, motivating each other, and helping one another navigate this wonderfully chaotic world of writing.
One of my favorite parts of being a creator has been talking to other people who understand the weird process of spending hours thinking about fictional characters and then somehow getting emotionally attached to them.
So after talking about it for ages, we finally decided to do something together.
From my corner of the fictional universe, you'll be seeing Adam return from The Neighbor Across The Window.
And from Blake's world, you'll be meeting Brady from his popular ABCD Crew Stories.
What happens when two completely different worlds collide?
Well...
You'll find out soon enough 👀
The result is a 5,000-word standalone crossover story that was an absolute blast to work on. It's fun, character-driven, and gave us the opportunity to see how these two very different characters would react when thrown into the same place.
What I loved most about this project was seeing how our writing styles naturally blended together. There were moments where Blake would take an idea and elevate it in a way I never expected, and moments where I'd build on something he'd written and take it somewhere new.
By the end of the process, it genuinely felt like a true collaboration rather than two writers simply sharing a document.
I also learned a lot from Blake while working on this, which is always one of the best parts of collaborating with another creator.
So I really hope you guys enjoy this special post when it drops later this month.
It's something a little different, a little unexpected, and a lot of fun.
