This is a true, true, true story. Personally have experienced this and known others who have. People who have inherited properties from another family member only to be hit with massive tax levies and fees and spend half their lives paying them off just so they don't lose the property that their family member worked so hard to have before they passed away. I've experienced this, its awful, so in a way Jay is sort of based on me. Plus retro gaming, which is a favorite pass time of mine.
