They looked so good? BLEACH Kai/Britherhood anime next please? ● Sagisu going hard with "Treachery" this episode 🔥 ● I wonder if Yhwach taking out Renji and Rukia while monologuing about bankai was supposed to be this version of his statement that he's destroyed all bankai in the future. I don't feel like that gets talked about enough. Like, where does that leave everyone in the epilogue timeskip/Hell chapter? Had everyone's bankai really been destroyed? Did that future get changed when Yhwach was finally defeated? Did Mayuri "modify" every banaki to be usable? Or Oetsu reformed them all? Also, regardless of the above, we just saw Yhwach destroy Sōō Zabimaru, so where does that leave Renji? Or is Tsukishima gonna fix it when he fixes Tensa Zangetsu? ● So Haschwalth got Auswählen'd but not Gerard (not yet, at least). End of the Gerard fight getting changed? Visoreds getting one last hurrah? Second showing for Kisuke's bankai? o___o Isshin getting involved? OoO Isshin's bankai? O◇O Or we'll just see him getting Auswählen'd next episode <__< Though, if that happens, that brings up the possibility of some of my other guesses coming to fruition. Maybe the episode opens with the Fullbringers fighting Lillemingo's, but then those all get Auswählen'd (along with Gerard), freeing up the FBs to head up to the palace. ● Ending the episode with Ichigo screaming (sans post-credit scene) + Sagisu's excellent composing this episode gave me strong Evangelion vibes. I've said a few times throughout the whole TYBW anime that it feels like Kubo's been taking notes from Anno/Eva. Not that I can blame him. If you're gonna take notes, might as well be from the greatest anime of all time (fact, not opinion).

Given how much they added to the Uryu and Jugram fight, yet chose to keep the way it ended, does tell me that Kubo always wanted Jugram being killed by Yhwach to be the way things would have ended. Which I do think works very well thematically.

I'm glad they kept Jugram's death the same, him getting hit by Auswahlen is poetic. I also liked tha by using clips from "Friend" they made it clear that he views his decision to join Yhwach as a rash one not made by putting things in balance. I'm coping and huffing hopepium, we didn't see Gerard die, please let the fight finish. One last thing, the preview image in the poem had the chips that were skipped prior to the Jugram fight, hoping we see them with a full explanation as to why Uryu is so important next episode.

So I just had a wild thought, what if what we haven't seen yet is that Ryuken is down in the Seritei collecting the silver out of all the Quincies who were hit by Auschwalen and we cut to his makeshift MASH tent with a pile of dissected Quincies and it's not quite enough so he adds in the last bit he still has of his wife that he's been keeping in his inside coat pocket so their hearts could still be together, and that's the arrowhead. Everyone's hearts and hopes refined into the weapon that saves the worlds. I'm probably way off, but it would fit thematically and it would be cool and it would fit Ryuken so perfectly, just couldn't and clinically dissecting the remains of what could have been his people.

Okay, I didn't realize this on my first watch, but it wasn't just Sōō Zabimaru; Yhwach straight up torn Renji apart o,,o

I would have loved it to be a case where this was a vision so that it could have fueled my manga agenda. It could have been a case where Kubo basically gave the "fans" what they wanted, showing that wanting something while going against the themes of the story would lead to a doomed timeline. But I prefer this, as it is better for the characters, except for the dynamic between Ichibei and Yhwach, as that was sacrificed. In the manga, Yhwach realises Ichibei's plans and makes sure he does not do something that would give Ichibei any leeway. However, in the anime, Yhwach actively tried to and did, kill Ichigo several times, which is what Ichibei wanted.
