This time, it’s Mermaid Shantae!

I drew Shantae as if she had just come up from the water, suddenly making eye contact with a slightly surprised expression.🥰

Unlike her usual bright and energetic mood, I wanted this illustration to have a more dreamy mermaid-like atmosphere, with extra attention on the wet shine of her skin and hair.

Underwater and seaside illustrations can be difficult because of the reflections, lighting, and transparency of the water, but that also makes them very fun to paint.I tried to create a fresh and soft atmosphere where her blue hair, green skin, and the bright ocean colors all look beautiful together.

For this MerMay-themed piece, I wanted to make Mermaid Shantae a little sexy, while still keeping her cute charm.I hope you enjoy her wet hair and skin, the close-up feeling, and her surprised look as she turns back toward you.
