Don't you worry, the rollercoaster is still accelerating...😊 The chembarons are the biggest threat to the people of Piltover next to Jinx, so of course she would go after them and no, by "neutralize them" she didn't mean killing, she meant capuring and imprisoning them and destroying the shimmer factories (can be seen in the music video). To do that she used the old factory smog her mother, grandmother, etc. sealed off in old tunnels to clean Zauns air. She released it to the regions where they would strike next to clear the streets off of bystanders. This smog is unfortunately toxic and while no one dies from it, people who are exposed too long to it can get incredibly sick (see Heenot). For the revengeful Caitlyn the end (getting to Jinx and destroying the underground gangs) justify the means (letting innocent people suffer)...🙈 When Ambessa says "Family" she means the whole clan, not just her daughter. I'm a big time CaitVi shipper, but this kiss was wrong for so many reasons. Don't get me wrong, it was a beautiful kiss. It was meant to be a reassuring kiss, to declare to each other that nothing will change, but for me it came across as desperate, clinging to something that has already passed on. Vi feels Caitlyn change and tries desperately to stop that so she wouldn't lose her too, by making her promise not to change. The fear of losing a person she loves was always one of her strongest motivations to spring into action. Even though she tells Caitlyn that Powder is gone, it is written all over her face that she could never ever kill her sister. I think Caitlyn doesn't believe her fully, either. 🤔 Caitlyn, seeing Vi so unexpectedly vulnerable, is touched though and tries to tell Vi (and herself) that she is still the same, that she has everything under control. Both know, but are unwilling to admit, that they are lying to themselves and each other. As beautiful as the image of these two kissing is, it just doesn't feel right. And when they split with Maddie and Loris, Vi walks behind Cait and looks at her with a sad and almost fearful expression.😨 Ambessa has powerful enemies at home and to have the means to fight them she wants hextech weapons and to get them she needs to fire up the conflict between Piltover and Zaun so Jayce would develop said hextech weapons aaand to get them she needs to get in power in Piltover since Mel has vanished and was unwilling to help her before. Initally she wanted to install Salo as a puppet, but when she saw how Caitlyn handled the situation, how much she wants to revenge her mothers death and how influencial she is during her familes standing and her demeanor, she decided to go with her...🤔 As for why Caitlyn accepted - she pretty much got pressured into a position where she can't say no, but on the other hand she probably thinks it is her chance to influence the way things go in Piltover and the Undercity and that it gives her more resources and freedom to go after Jinx and the sooner she gets Jinx, the sooner peace can return...🤔 We could see the break-up coming from a mile. I'm with you and Vi, but try to look at it for a moment from Caits perspective: Vi said her sister is dead and Cait should kill Jinx if she gets the chance, then Vi prevents her from doing that two times. She was sure she could have killed Jinx without killing Isha. And then Vi had the audacity to call her out for doing exactly what they planned to do! 😈 By the way I think Cait did not shoot at Vi, but she tried to shoot at Jinx (and Isha😨), but Vi blocked her way two times. I believe deep inside Cait knew Vi was right and she had lost her way some time ago and became more like Jinx than Jinx herself. Her frustration, her hurt, her feeling of being betrayed by Vi and her anger won out and she did something she probably wouldn't have dreamt of in her wildest nightmares - she hits Vi. You can see that the rational part of her immediately regrets it (I love the subtle animation especially of the eyes 😍), but that part has no saying in her head right now. So she leaves. And Vi does not break down because Cait hit her that hard, but because she realized in this moment, that she had lost Caitlyn, probably for good. Now she has absolutely no one and no goal to aim for. 😨😭💔 It is a callback to episode three when Vi seemingly left Powder. Only this time it hurt so much more because Caitlyn actually left Vi deliberately...💔🙈 Love your reactions, on to the next one...🤩
