Small Updates + Event (Patreon)
Content
Hello everyone! Here are a few more small updates while I continue preparing things before diving fully into the game's update!
Development
I've managed to clean up a large portion of the Day 1 code, which... considering how inexperienced I was back then, was quite a mess. It would have made updating the game much more difficult and could have caused issues in the later days, so I wanted to get that sorted out first.I'm also getting some help with the credits codes so Patreon supporters' names can be added automatically without repeating or overflowing off the screen like they did the first time!
Because of these changes, the beta testers will probably need to do a quick check of Days 1 and 2 after testing the beta version of this update (which usually covers a little less than half of the full update) just to make sure no unexpected bugs have appeared.
Pierrot Plush!
The prototype has already been sent to me so I can inspect it and share my thoughts! Unfortunately, I may not be allowed to show it just yet (even though the company very politely informed me that I probably shouldn't have shown the plushie already... oops...)(And to my Brazilian supporters: Sim, eu precisei pagar uma taxa na alfândega ;u;)So, the information I've received about the next steps is as follows:
Once the prototype arrives and I've had a chance to review it, we'll choose a date to launch another campaign for everyone who couldn't attend.
The campaign will last for 30 days, and the plush will only be available on the website during that time. Anyone who missed the initial pre-order sign-up will still be able to purchase it during the campaign. Once those 30 days are over, orders will close and the plush will no longer be available for purchase.
Those who placed a pre-order will be charged the full price of the plush. You'll also be able to see photos of it on the campaign page, and I'll be able to show it to all of you in much greater detail as well!
After the 30-day campaign period ends, production of the plushies will begin.
Delivery of all plushies is expected to take approximately 3 to 5 months.
Store
The first batch of keychains has arrived, and the tickets are still in production since there are now eight of them!I know most of you would prefer everything to be available at the same time so you only have to pay for shipping once, so I'm waiting for all the products to arrive before opening the store.
Comic
I still haven't been able to focus on the comic because of everything that's been happening lately. Believe me, there's a lot more going on behind the scenes than what you see from the game's development. As soon as I can, I'll translate the script so Destiny can start drawing the comic. I'll keep you updated on that process, since she'll most likely be sharing previews of her incredible work on her own Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/cw/Destinysquared
Game Anniversary!
As some of you know, the game turns one year old on the 15th of this month! To celebrate, I'll be hosting a small AMA-style event featuring Columbina. (No, her appearance will not be revealed during this event, sorry guys! Perhaps a faint glimpse.)
On the day of the game's anniversary, I'll make a more detailed post with all the rules and guidelines for the event, so I can handle all these new questions!Meanwhile, people on Tumblr will get a small taste of how the AMA works, though in a simplified format with selected questions only.
On top of that, this month is also Ticket Taker's birthday! I hope you all enjoy everything that's coming!
I know many of you will have questions about some of this information, so please ask them here in the comments so I can answer them as best I can!
I apologize for not having replied to all the DMs yet there are about 40 of them, and I haven’t had much time to respond to them because I’ve been focusing on the update.
