Starting next week, you'll be getting weekly updates on the game's progress!

I've already started working on it this week. I've prepared some of the sprites I'll need and refined a few others. I'm also hoping to fix Harlequin's animation and improve the MC's bedroom, though I'll leave those for later if I have enough time.

I almost couldn't finish this week's AMA because my programs refused to open. Luckily, I didn't lose anything, and I made several backups of the entire game. I may need to upgrade my computer soon.

I’m trying to think of what acts Ticket Taker would be good at because of his legs. Though there are more than just physical acts of course but let’s humor it for a second. I keep thinking of Trapeze. W-what if..partnered acrobatics with Doctor?..I feel like Doctor might be a good base if TT is the flyer Also those silk rope things. He also may be good at jumping…hmm.. The lore questions are really great in this one. I feel like TT is still in contact with his parents since we know now they are alive and not listed "deceased/unknown". Also it's interesting how humans can have uneasy feeling near monsters just like animals who usually avoid them. Pretty random thought, but I would assume that not all animals are aversed to monsters and there is a possibility for monsters to domesticate some sort of species/subspecies that aren't scared by them. I just remembered the theory that domesticated animals were domesticated because original populations have variety in 'domestication genes' which affected behavior and more friendly animals started to live near humans. and this is why some species like zebras can't be domesticated at all, they could possibly lack the genetic variety for this... lol random biology yap in comments

A "Male Mom" is a guy who acts like the "mom" of the group. He's the one who looks after everyone, worries about them, reminds them to eat or rest, and always cleans up everyone else's mess. He doesn't have to be sweet—he can be strict or sarcastic and still be the group's "Male Mom." and that is why we call jester mommy though <3

as biologist with degree in genetics I would say that probably some combination of genes could lead to more tolerance to monsters; since Neko in his answer mentioned that "people who are more sensitive" can get uneasy feeling. I feel like for humans the baseline (the middle of Gaussian distribution, aka most of population) is less sensitivity to whatever wrong is with monsters while for animals base is being more sensitive. But I don't know what genes could cause it since we don't know what exactly makes animals more agitated. For humans, feeling of being watched means that our brain is unconsiously picking some visual and auditory clues, but animals can rely on more senses, such as smell and probably body language? another sort of thought, at some point I thought that animals being uneasy near monsters is a bow towards one folklore belief that animals, especially cats and dogs, are more sensitive to some supernatural presences.

I just don't understand, and it honestly makes me feel so sad. If people sense danger (not an immediate life threat), they can choose to avoid it or just keep their distance with basic interactions, like a polite nod, a 'thank you,' or an 'excuse me.' I imagine the circus would also try to avoid those overly sensitive people who usually mean trouble. The circus performances are clearly so popular, yet they still face so much violence on the outside. Even Pierrot, who is the most popular performer, is the one who gets hurt the most outside the show.In reality, looking back at history, humans can be incredibly cruel, even though there is still a beautiful side to them. I understand it on a realistic level, but psychologically, it’s just so hard to accept or comprehend. It feels like my mind has split into two and can no longer merge back together.. I truly hope that MC’s presence can subtly influence those around them, so that at least the hostility and resistance toward them can become softer and more peaceful. P.S. There are plenty of bad guys out there, please go eat them instead! Please don't eat me, I beg you! ⁠ (⁠´⁠；⁠ω⁠；⁠｀⁠)⁠) I hope everything goes well with Neko and the computer. But seriously, I wonder what “undignified” acts he did when he pursued Columbina back then. And if they were actually that big a deal, lol. Harlequin always tries to act all cool, so any hint of vulnerability from him is something he thinks is undignified. Although...given how Pierrot sometimes acts I don’t blame him for thinking love can make you lose your self-respect. Have a feeling Harelquin’s parents/species are big on independence. To the point of being somewhat cold by human standards. Monsters in general seem to vary a lot on their familial dynamics, which makes sense. Pierrot’s was much like a human family, perhaps Jester’s too. Just more communal. Doctor’s might have cared about him a lot too, if the isolation was because they didn’t want to lose him to humans or expose him to danger. And TT confirmed full monster, yes!...I don’t believe he’s close with his parents. Something about only knowing their general location, and I don’t know, the way he kind of ended up mentoring Columbina and getting really attached to her...Even if she was persistent about it, perhaps he was ultimately receptive because he wanted something like a family. It’s a vibes based thought, no real evidence. “depraved mind” Jester, have you heard Harlequin talk? Like, at all? Have you not heard Pierrot going on what I assume are nightly soliloquies on how much he-actually probably not. Harlequin certainly did if that whispers passion line is anything to go by. Jester calling MC depraved really has to mean something, considering this guy lives ass to ass with Harlequin and whatever fuckering he does on the daily. Oh I very much agree. I do think he easily justifies it to himself, truth be told. He seems to have certain rules for himself/the troupe, and then for outsiders. Not like I'd completely begrudge him for it, after everything they've gone through. But it makes for funny callouts.

Ah weirdly specific advice but if you have a 13th or 14th gen cpu, programs and other apps may crash or corrupy because the microcode needs to be manually updated. I had trouble with mine a few days ago and updating the BIOS helped me. Also for GPU don't fo for the latest release because they're weird with most apps. Also intel is easier for UI and is the most compatible, but for the past 3 years their hardware hasn't been great, if you want something up to date then go for AMD, but if you don't care then an earlier version of intel is good too - just some advice for updating your computer since these were my issues at some point too. Hope it helps ^-^
