Quick Update (Patreon)

Friends, quick update! The main thing - I’m working at full speed on coming up with and testing new technical ideas that will affect both the video and the audio side. Once all the ideas that perform well in tests across every stage of production come together into one puzzle and form the best pipeline in the industry, animations will start dropping on a regular schedule again. I want to believe this will be a level comparable to multi-billion-dollar studios, and I want to believe I’ll get there very soon. I felt I needed to grow technically and study and test a lot of ideas, so I allowed myself to lean on your kindness and understanding and take a time for tests and figuring out new approaches. As an example, I’m dropping some pictures that show one of the solutions to a problem that somehow came up while working with Mavis. Even though none of you mentioned it in the comments, it was obvious to me that Mavis didn’t look 100% like herself, and my goal is 100% similarity, both visual and audio. Really happy I managed to solve this problem. Of course I’ll also apply this approach to Jinx and in prep for all future animations. And there will be many more solutions like this, which in the end will lead to the animations we deserve.
