February challenge layout / phone recording (Patreon)

I worked on this one for the past 2 days! First I made I rough 3D mockup of the scene, where I choose the camera placement, and some general lighting idea. And I wanted to jump into linework as soon as possible- I drew over the 3D, and as I progressed I defined and detailed it a lot!

I think that this is a lot better, than painting over the colored 3D render. This way my painting process can feel a lot more organic, and to have a certain amount of imperfection, which is a good thing, because I learned from previous 2 paintings where I used 3D, that it is better to avoid fighting that 3D look.

This was fun to work on!
