Hi Patrons!

New tutorial is here! I'm so happy to share my techniques with you guys, I use them all the time in my work, and they really help me to be efficient with my approach and to save time as much as possible!

Painting materials is all about getting a feeling for the texture and surface of the material, and how it is interacting with the light:)

Some tips:

-Paint 2D textures, and use them on flat surfaces (like concrete, walls, flat metal pannels, etc.)

- use selections or Alfa locking the layers to create clean shapes, and paint inside of them

-use directional brushstrokes, to convey the textural quality of materials

- in the end add smaller details, like stronger highlights, beveling of the edges, additional textural info( scratches, rust, cracks, paint chipping, stuff like that.)

If you have any question about this topic, let me know:) I'm happy to help!
