Just wanted to announce that I’ve found another artist willing to do commissions for the game, which is great! They’ve finished two commissions which will be added in version 0.31, which are both sex scenes for the Milf Dryad in the third dungeon. (One for the tomboy outfit, and one for the slutty outfit.) I think next I’ll start commissioning them to do artwork for Katie’s scenes, because the artist who did art for her previously has gone MIA on me, and the new artist is much faster than them anyways, so I think they are a better choice to work on characters with a lot of scenes. I might have them redo Katie’s first scene in their art style as well, but I’ll get some new stuff done first for sure. The finished versions of the Dryad’s art have been uploaded to the art folder on mega, so I’ll just tease them with line art here.

Some bad news is that the old new artist I mentioned last month also seems to have gone MIA, as they haven’t replied to my message or had any activity on twitter for a few weeks now. Hopefully they are okay and come back soon, but if I don’t hear from them for another week or two, I’ll start looking for a new artist, again.

Anyway, here’s the art previews!

What's up with all of these artists disappearing? It seems unusually common.

Honestly no idea. The most logical explanation would be that I'm doing something wrong, but if that's the case, I have no idea what, because I'm never strict with deadlines and I try not to ask for many revisions because I don't want to be annoying. With the latest artist I'm pretty sure they are having some real life issues, because they haven't had any activity on twitter at all since I messaged them.

It's actually really common. Most artists just don't want long term gigs for some reason. They seemingly get really bored doing the same characters more than a couple times or maybe its over more than a few months except for a few standouts and those are mostly taken with long contracts. Any game that does commisions like this is just not going to be able to keep an artist consistently unless you can literally commission every piece of art you'll need all at one time. But then you'd pretty much have to make the game as a text game and only plan for the art at the end when everything is made.

Yeah, I kind of get not wanting to do the same character over and over, I prefer to go back and forth between different characters and types of content when writing myself, after all. For that reason I figured I could offering to let artists pick what scenes they'd like to do, so they can hopefully find content they would want to try anyways to do. Neither of the new artists took me up on that offer, but hopefully if they get bored of doing the commissions they'll just ask to do something else instead of quitting. That's one of the benefits of having over a hundred scenes without artwork, there should be something that interests them among all of that. I certainly hope the latest MIA artist hasn't gotten bored after one commission though, lol.
