What Do You Expect In A Game? (Patreon)

Hi all,

This post is not a poll, and it's public so I can know everyone's opinions, even those who are not my patrons yet.

When playing an adult visual novel game, what do you expect to see / feel / experience besides erotic scenes? For example, some people keep attacking me because they want to see the girls obeying them from the start without any efforts. What about you guys?

I want to understand to develop better. At the moment, I'm trying some famous Harem games (without Incest of course) to know if those games also make the girl obey the MC from the start or not.

Please notice that if you think Summer of Love is better than Jealousy, it's because I tried other games (after listening to everyone's opinions) and discovered what could make my games better.

To me the point of playing a "game" instead of just reading a short story or getting a quick release from pron is that characters develop along the way and you as the player can influence that. If the characters are all in their final state too soon, the game is uninteresting and there's no challenge or objective to work towards.

I agree with the 2 other comments, the interest of that kind of games is to gradually corrupt the girl or girls, a lot of games are like that and some have also a "slut" from the beginning (like Emma in this game for example) who can help to corrupt the others for the MC or not ;)

NTR/Cuckold is my thing. I love the "slut girlfriend" from beginning that tries to corrupt MC and bring him down to full submission trying to break his will and use creative methods of mind control including the help of her friends. The thrill is all when you have to make choices especially that have big impact. Bully was my ideal VN. I enjoy SOL too . besides the juicy stuff I enjoy the touch of real life doing regular outdoor activities in public with shocking encounters going to places since I'm trapped in mom's basement.

I most enjoy a plot that includes seduction or compulsion that creates some dramatic tension. I avoid the games that have a harem where the MC just goes from one female to another. That's why I enjoy NTR and cuckold as it often has to employ the threat of and then the success of corruption and not just random conquest.

Usually I don't like NTR much but I don't hate it either and I like the way it's implemented here, so I enjoy it. And yes, we humans want to earn our achievements to feel like we deserve them. Especially men I guess. We play these games to work for our goals, to get the girl! That's also the most interesting part of a relationship in movies and even in real life! Think about it, if a friend likes a girl or woman you root for him, want to help him get her. Once they are a couple that's fine but the excitement is gone.

Goblinboy created great games with NTR elements School Dreams 1-3 There'll always be a critique about slow developing story (ex. Big Brother) and critique for NTR. But so far good job Cap.Kitty

The game is definitely more fun if you have to work for your rewards. That said, too much grinding degrades my level of enjoyment certainly. I think you have been striking just the right balance so far.

That said, I don't really get all the hatred for NTR. Don't like it, don't play those games. Most of the games seem to make that content avoidable anyway. Seems like it's no different than any other kink.

You know my view about the NTR thing and about what kind of girlfriend/fiancee of the MC I love since I believe we have the same opinion on it. But I also like a bit of mystery involve, meaning the MC didn't actually witnessed the GF/fiancee cheating on him. Only by hearing on videos or some silhouette, or anything like the sound of panting on the phone. I definitely don't want the girl to be completely obedient to the MC as in she has her own free will no matter how much she loves the MC. Also, I prefer the GF/fiancee gets corrupted slowly and not in a rush. Reluctant but are willing when she gets horny enough but still trying to put up a resistance.
