I honestly thought Only You was fine lol it felt like a typical Thai GL to me 🤷🏻‍♀️ it's not the best one out there but it's also not the worst one I've seen either 😂 I think a lot of their fans just had really high hopes after TSOU so they felt disappointed in it but as someone who was just getting in to Thai gl and that being one of the first ones I watched it just felt average.....I will say tho the kissing scenes did feel a little awkward, for some reason I guess the director had directed them to hold back/be more "pg" idk if it was their decision or the channels but yeah

The Secret of Us was so good and In Love Forever (3rd series) looks very promising from bts info that the director has given. That third series should be airing in early summer so I’m excited for that. Only You was…not great. I don’t think it necessarily deserves the hate it gets but it’s an “original” from the channel and they seem to always miss the mark when they try to venture into original stories. At some point, it feels like the plot takes a wild left turn that felt out of nowhere. The script felt cringey at times and you can tell that in the love scenes, the girls (for whatever reason; a lot of people blame the director) weren’t as comfortable/loose with each other as they were in the first series or how they seem to be off screen. It felt held back and tight in those scenes if that makes sense. It’s carried by good acting performances by some of the cast. But, the show does get A LOT of shit for being “horrible” when I don’t feel like it’s the worst that’s out there. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Would I recommend for yall to watch it before other shows? Probably not.

Also, just to comment further on the love scenes. This particular channel is very well known for being more family friendly with that kind of stuff in comparison to other channels. It’s because these shows air on national television instead of being streaming based shows. Way more vanilla and catered to the general public of Thailand versus GL fans. This is something that LingOrm’s latest director stated in one of his tweets explaining how some of the channel decision making works. But again, in Only You, it felt much more held back even for the channel’s standard. Again, people blame that particular director for that show.

I genuinely liked Only You not the best but certainly far from worst. I feel like the director gave unnecessary insight which ruins the build up mood. A lot of flaws came from editing and production especially when watching the bts stuff seemed like it was better than the final scenes. The plot is good but the pacing confused the flow. I think a lot of fans had high hopes after TSOU so they felt disappointed.

I'm one of those that didn't hate Only You. The writing was messy but the editing made it way worse and the director kept making LingOrm pull back when it came to love scenes. It was more cutesy than chemistry but the behind the scenes clips make you feel 10x more shy than in the show cus the chemistry is THERE she (the director) just kept making them tone it down for some reason. She actually did a live recently and apologized for damaging their reputation. Anyways, I like campy kind of dramatic and silly shows, so for me its one of my go to shows to put on in the background. I've probably re-watched it more than The Secret of Us for that reason. Certainly wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a good story to be really immersed in, but if you wanna throw on something light and fun at the end of a long day then Only You would be a good option I think.

I see LingOrm and i subscribe lol TSOU is one of my fave all time GLs...Only you was a real wtf lol...It had good moments and first few eps were fun but then turn in to a hot mess...not in a good way
