very good interview. reminds me of Gadgetology, the Church (or Cult depending on who you ask) that worships Gadget Hackwrench from Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers. one of my spiritual mentors brought it up as an example of something that sounds silly or ridiculous but the fundamentals behind it (specifically tulpas and egregores) are worth understanding and respecting even if you find you don't believe or agree. killer stuff. can't wait to hear more

Congrats on the new subscriber milestone! Love hearing those updates and seeing the show grow! I’ve even gotten a few non gamers to listen who just dig your interview and presenting skills 🤘

Thanks for the update. I appreciate the inside look at the realities of content creation and it makes me feel like my support matters in a more concrete way. Also, really looking forward to the interview with C. Thi Nguyen. His appearance on Pablo Torre Finds Out introduced me to him and got me to order the book. The ideas in the book really hit me as both a gamer and an educator. I appreciate your thoughtfulness as an interviewer and am excited to hear where that conversation goes.

Congratulations on the milestone! And thanks for your continued and constant transparency - you're killing it. I had a thought regarding the conversation about Roblox. Chris, you had touched upon this phenomenon, but if you wanted to dive a little bit deeper. Y'all spoke of the actual root cause of the issue - that it's growing too fast - and the simple solution to the problem - that it needs to slow down its growth. I've just finished reading a book called "Intro to Systems: A Primer" by Donella Meadows, which may be my new favorite book, and they talk a great deal about how to think about these humongous problems as systems - things that operate in loope and cycles, rather than linear cause-and-effect which is too simplistic for reality. And this problem is one they touch on for a couple chapters, the challenge of confronting problems in a system caused by its goal-oriented loops. Roblox, as with any capital system, cares only about the increase of efficiency, the reduction of cost, in pursuit of the maximization of profit and value, and will inevitably grow exponentially because it doesn't have any other way of looking at the world - and because of this system, it grows beyond its own means, loses its own sustainability, outpaces its viability, and crashes, hurting many on the way. Same, in theory and application, to the old Universal Paperclip conversation. Perverse goals create perverse systems create perverse outcomes. Figured I'd recommend the book, as it touches on so many topics that hound the games industry and journalism - really, it touches on every topic that has to do with worldly and artificial systems. Highly recommend losing a weekend to its horrors and its insights
