Hey pals!

This week, I have an interview that's exceptionally interesting. But I'm not quite sure how to frame the headline. So, I thought it'd be fun to get your opinion. Please pick the headline that would most entice you to listen to the episode! (I'm not telling you any specifics about the episode, since the average listener won't know them when they see the headline.)

The second and third options pique my interest the quickest at a glance, which presumably is your goal here.

Will

Knowing what the game is, I think #3 is best. Leading with new, fantasy, and a quality statement is great for readability.

Brian Bautista

Damn I need to get back to EE, tried it for a bit before getting sidetracked by GDC and loved it.

Option 3 reminds me of those goofy AO3 titles that also sort of outline the plot of the fanfic in a way that I love 😂

Mikhail Klimentov

Between 1 and 3! Four puts me off because I don't care, at a glance, about TTRPs.

Alfredo

Really waffling between A and C. The others are a bit too generic, so then it’s just a choice regarding how you want the Disco Elysium deployed. So excited for this!

I know I shouldn't do this every week and spam everyone's email.... but also, this is super helpful. So far, option 3 is the clear favorite. But curious to see where it's at tomorrow morning.

I just really appreciate the 'and 1 Disco Elysium' lexicon here

Picked 3, it essentially combines 1 & 2. Don't want to downplay the power of a good headline, nor the art in your work, but in an ocean of click bait titles I feel like it gets to the point. It contains enough information/ key words for me whilst, crucially, still retaining the quality of storytelling.

I find it really interesting that 3 is winning. 2 is just great. It communicates history. It tells me YOU fucking love it. It even predicts that it could be a dark horse goty, and if I listen to the podcast I might be introduced to a hidden gem that would impress my friends when I'm the first to discover it. To be fair, I get pretty tired hearing about Disco Elysium and everything around it. It is an immediate turn off for me.

Number 3 seems to best preview the content of the episode, and sounds snappy to boot!

Avery Jerauld

I know that people love Disco Elysium, and I sure I would if I could just sit down and play it, but since I don’t have any connection to DE then I’m voting for #2 to try to have some broad appeal

Jon

Disco Elysium is an all-time favorite of mine, which is why you probably shouldn't trust my vote for #1.

I’m glad that #1 didn’t get picked—it had a clickbaity vibe
