This is soooo cute! I've implemented something sort of in the same vein; im terrible at remembering WHEN in the past I did things and my sister gave me a calendar for Christmas, so instead of using it to plan (hopeless endeavor) ive been writing the fun things I've done the previous day/weekend. April was awesome, it brought the return of the regal jumping spiders friends that live on my porch, I planted some native plants and the iris bloomed IMMEDIATELY, my newly introduced cats started getting along, I bought some painted rocks for my plant shelf that make me smile every time I see them. I could go on. Truly a winner of a month

that's such a neat way to make use of a calendar :) love the idea of getting to the end of the month and being able to look back on everything fun that happened. also wow a real banger of an April!!

A delight I experienced in April was how after my brother and I got my mom, for her birthday, a little hanging plaque thing with a poem in honour of her mom, we spent an entire morning going through old photo albums while my mom told us stories. It was genuinely just so delightful to go through them all and hear stories of my mom's childhood including the ones I've heard before. Another delight tied to that was another part of my mom's birthday present which is a custom garden ornament of one of our dogs (the one in my icon who is also sat on me right now). Not only did my mom love it and name it after her grandad, but also both of our dogs thought it was a real dog. Archie just barked at it for ages at first, giving it a wide berth while Jasey immediately started sniffing it suspiciously. I had to gently introduce Archie to a replica of himself and once he figured he was safe, he immediately tried to sniff its butt. It was very funny.
