The not-even-stepsiblings thing is WILD – I feel like I've read a bunch of the reversed scenario where the younger couple gets together first and then their single parents hit it off in the background, and it's (rightfully) never treated as weird like this? Like obviously it could get awkward if one couple breaks up and the other stays together, but it's not IMMORAL.

I will freely admit that I put this one on the list FULLY because I expect it to be unpleasantly weird and judgey about this objectively fine relationship and I want to see the shitshow, it's a real guilty pleasure read for me
