This one's as folky as Cursed Princess Club will ever get! Had to set the mood for Frederick's brief, rugged life of sleeping outdoors and eating fresh deer meat ^^; 

I'm very happy and relieved at the nice reactions to this chapter!! When I first wrote out the scene with Frederick holding his tiny younger self, I was like, "Yepppp I've finally lost my marbles..." It is also definitely a waaaay over-simplified portrayal of that sort of journey and is in that sense very much a fairy tale. But I'm glad my editor and all you kind readers were down for the ride, and that some people found something positive they could get from it. So thank you!! 😊
