In 2022 I ran a series of Winter sunrise sessions on the Sunshine Coast with fifteen volunteers. These sessions had no outcomes in mind just a reason to meet with people in the early hours, hold space and chat. After each session we'd get coffee (my shout) and usually chat for an hour or so. With the cold morning air and the feeling of those first rays of light on your skin being the catalyst for all of it.

This was the second time shooting with Humairaa and was a privilege to get to know them more and discover more about their own artistic practice and story.
