Djejek

Eren not catching baseball ball was symbolizing on how he didnt plan on doing what Zeke wanted

Djejek

also about ur question of manipulating every attack titan users, when u have attack titan u can only see memories of next inheritor so i dont think its possible for him to manipulate every user

Ekir

Faze Gabi strikes again

Cristian Bengasi

Eren didn’t manipolate grisha to brainwash zeke, grisha hadn‘t the titan at the time, he was just blinded by revenge, and he didn’t manipulate us in the 3 First Season hahaha

Lumi

If you remembered, in season 1, they didn’t show Grisha’s face when he shows the key to little Eren and now they’re revealing all his words are towards the present Eren

Djejek

that was retcon by author definetely, that wasnt planned and im like 90%, because second half of aot was supposed to be completely different and shorter but popularity of it made him change it

Djejek

(i think entire marley plot was something he came up after popularity)

KaloPrince187

It's not a retcon. It wasn't shown this way in Episode 1 of the anime, but it was always like this in the manga. Grisha really isn't looking at young Eren when he's telling him about the key to the basement. As far as I remember, they probably didn't think this detail was going to be that significant when they made the first episode, so they decided to focus on the key instead of showing Grisha's face. They probably didn't realize at the time just how important that scene was going to become, or how huge the anime would eventually get.

KaloPrince187

We failed guys, he didn't notice our comments to watch episodes 19,20,21 together 😭

Djejek

Nah that's retcon I bet on that. I know how it looks in manga but I still think of it as retcon

Kuroo444

he did notice bro, but he said it wouldn't be possible because of busy schedule (beginning of the vid)

KaloPrince187

Yeah my bad. I guess I overheard that.

Kuroo444

wait is this confirmed? I always assumed that every attack titan user could see all the memories from the future (based on what Eren Kruger said about Armin and Mikasa), idk if I missed this explanation about it only being the next one..

Djejek

Eren Kruger saw memories of Grisha that's why he knew about Armin and Mikasa

Kuroo444

I mean sure, I could say that he knew about them bcz of Eren's memories... I wanna see where they say that it's only the next sucessor (genuine question)

Djejek

Eren Kruger didn't know much about Armin or Mikasa meaning he couldn't see Eren memories, well that and I think it's just something left out, it could be also that Attack Titan doesn't really have ability to see future and it's just Eren using founding Titan to do that and Grisha just assumed thats attack titans power but we do know that Eren Kruger didn't have Erens future memories he only knew about Mikasa and Armin vaguely

Kuroo444

I think you're mixing theories with what's actually confirmed. Kruger not knowing much about Armin and Mikasa doesn't mean he couldn't have seen Eren's memories, they only see fragments, not someone's entire life. Grisha literally says the Attack Titan can see memories of its future *inheritors*, he never says it's only the next one. You can theorize that Kruger got those memories from Grisha or that it was Eren using the Founder, but that's still just a theory. I'm just asking where they ever say it's limited to the next inheritor. Just asking cuz ever since I read the manga, I always assumed Eren had some kind of influence going all the way back to the very first Attack Titan (and I think it's way cooler that way 🗿).

Djejek

I mean if he wanted to he could using paths, but yeah after small research is ability to send memories to past but I think it's just Eren using paths ngl anyway it won't change anything because it wasn't used differently anyway maybe he could but didn't manipulate old attack titans users lmao

So peak, also the dub version of eren convincing grisha to kill the royal family is so good I’d recommend checking it out

KaloPrince187

Eren literally spoiled the ending of the story for himself when he kissed Historia's hand at the end of Season 3. That's why you thought Eren had changed so much since then. He saw his future, including himself convincing Grisha to kill the Royal Family, through that memory. Crazy, right? xD Also, Grisha can't actually see Zeke with his own eyes there. He can see Zeke through Eren's POV. These episodes are so fucking peak. I still remember how I felt watching this for the first time. The music, the plot twists, Grisha's voice acting (give that man all the trophies and medals) — it's still so fucking good, even though I've seen it like 100 times already. It's unfortunate you couldn't watch Episode 21 as well... When you see Episode 21 too, you're going to fucking lose it. xD

Victor Sales

man, i love grisha's VA in ep 20 he delivered such a great job, i mean no just that episode, but he's a rly great VA

Yo

Aot might be the one of the only shows that can have a protagonist you root for for 3 seasons and then makes them the antagonist for the last and can execute that perfectly in a way that makes sense. Eren has truly been the mastermind since tge beginning. Love these episodes and amazing voice acting/direction throughout them. And for the ending, I think that if you have been paying attention and actually thinking about the show’s plot and storytelling and themes it’s trying to convey, it is an amazing ending.

w Eren, manipulated Isayama to write this story

DRK Discovers

W comments I think that Eren might have some influence on all past inheritors as well but we'll see about that!

DRK Discovers

yeah ur right, I forgot that Grisha didn't have the attack titan yet... I FEEL MANIPULATED THO
