Zeke’s plan still shits but Eren’s way more brutal… it’s hard to decide which’s better, sacrifice the world for Eldians or sacrifice Eldians for the world But when I first time watching this on manga, I was traumatised, it’s fair to think that compare to Eren’s, euthanasia are just too gentle

Lumi

Btw, fans calculated Eren’s size comparing to the anime size of the colossals Around 200 to 300m tall and over 1000m long There’s also a joke saying that if Gabi didn’t do the headshot, this Titan form will be a huge ass humanoid like historia’s dad’s titan instead of ribcages since that creature was trying to connect Eren’s head and he body back together

Cristian Bengasi

bro Eren by human morals is wrong, but to understand him better he has little to no time to live due to the ymir curse, if he takes Armin aproach, to talk it over with the enemy, imagine the burden to have the power to save the people you love and don't use it, that is a power no one should possess, and is a power that who knows after his death in which hand falls, so you can understand even the world wanting Eldians to die, a part racism you can't leave a power that could destroy the world to one country, maybe not right now, but how many years until that power goes to a psycho that will use it to conquer the world, the situation is to complicated to solve, is not Eren fault, the true enemy is the power of the founding that shouldn't exist, the world need to have balance of power to go on, so i can understand Eren, and he know that if he takes a half aproach to it, and kill some people but not all, it would only create Gabi's so it wouldn't solve anything, he have to go kill no-one or everyone

The funny thing is that ending 3 was a spoiler for everyone, even for manga readers, because when ending 3 aired, the manga hadn't reached this point yet, Isayama spoiled everyone, and no one even noticed

Victor Sales

its funny eren rly said he will destroy the world back at S1 when he was fighting annie

mazzyjay

goated, we in the endgame now…

Btw Erens new titan is made in a way that he cant turn because of lacking muscles to do so, it can only.... keep moving foward.

This episode, “From You, 2000 years ago”, is one of the best episodes in the whole show. It truly feels like a culmination of the entire series up to this point. I mean, it’s literally a direct call back to the first episode “To you, 2000 years in the future”. If you already couldn’t see how amazing this is written, this means that the entire plot was basically known and planned from the start. This episode, where the rumbling starts and we see the beginning of titans, was already planned and foreshadowed since we first saw the wall fall in episode 1. Insane In fact, the ending you were talking about was spoilers for the manga readers as well. This episode hadn’t released yet even in the manga when that ending came out, so Isayama told them what to do in that ending as foreshadowing as well. Up until this point, I believed there was really nobody that we could specifically blame for everything. Everything has been a cycle of war for thousands of years. However, If there was one person we could really pinpoint the blame on for everything terrible happening, it would be King Fritz, who I believe is one of the worst characters in the show. He is the reason why Ymir is the way that she is. He forced her to be her slave and showed no remorse or sympathy for her. He forced his own children to eat their mother. He is where the hatred for Eldians first came from. I blame everything that’s happened solely on him. Of course, if he didn’t do it, it’s human nature for somebody else to eventually take his place, and we’d likely see something similar happen eventually. That’s the cyclic nature of human hatred and behavior.

38:29 : You can want to see literally anything happen. That's the beauty of watching a FICTIONAL story. You can root for Eren, want to see the Rumbling happen, or even want the “bad ending” where Eren destroys the entire world. That doesn't mean you'd actually do the same thing or support it IRL. Unfortunately, from this point on, I feel like a lot of people start arguing in the comments and pushing their own morality and views onto others. I've seen it so many times on different channels reacting to AoT. AoT world is fcked up and it's basically “kill or be killed.” If you actually put yourself in Eren's shoes, I think most people would choose to save their family, friends and their own people rather than sacrifice everyone they love for people who fcking hate them, will never change their view of them, and have been trying to kill them their entire lives, no? And you don't even know why. You grow up not knowing that the entire world wants you dead because of something your ancestors did, something you don't even remember and had nothing to do with. All you know is people attacking your home, destroying everything you have, and watching your own people die horribly, literally getting eaten alive by Titans. And on top of all that, you're constantly running out of time— you know Marley could wipe you out, and you only have a few years to somehow change everything. At the end of the day, it's fiction. Of course, it's not morally right, but the entire show is morally grey. So many people can't comprehend that you just wanna enjoy the show and wanna see the “bad”/ dark ending. xD After spending 4 seasons with the people of Paradis, you must see Eren's perspective. Even though it's crazy and brutal I personally can't root against him after spending so much time with these characters. ⚔️

That’s why AOT is the best show ever for me: It is one of the few works that portrays war not as an act of heroism, but as a system. While understanding a choice does not mean justifying it, I would have done the same thing had I been in Eren’s shoes, even though I consider the whole situation morally wrong. Because when fear, trauma, the feeling of being cornered, and the instinct to protect those you love reach a certain level, morality doesn't vanish…but it risks being crushed by the drive to survive. The beauty of this character lies in his consistent, honest, and linear evolution, and in the fact that he is terribly human. Zeke appears more “rational,” yet his plan is actually horrific in a different way. He doesn’t immediately exterminate the world, but he decides that an entire people should no longer be born. It is a colder form of violence: I won’t kill you today, but I deny you a future. There is immense moral arrogance in that: making a choice for millions of people based on the suffering they might avoid. So, while less immediately brutal than Eren, it is still profoundly inhumane. It is extreme utilitarianism, yet devoid of human dignity.
