Now this show is really picking up. While just frieren and fern is a good duo, it always felt like something was missing from their group, but now that stark is here, it starts to feel like a complete party. He adds a lot to the party not only in terms of abilities but also personality. Frieren and fern are more monotonous and soft spoken while stark can be loud and enthusiastic. Instead of two female mages we now also have a male warrior. It makes their party and interactions much more engaging and interesting then before, especially now we don’t just have a master and student dynamic. Fern can finally talk to someone her age with a “normal” mindset lol I just really love Stark’s character and how he is so strong but the only thing holding him back is his cowardice. I also love how this show doesn’t paint that cowardice and fear as a bad thing, as eisen literally is just like him. While this isn’t primarily a fighting anime, the animation for its fights is INCREDIBLE. That stark vs dragon fight was amazing and all the movements looked so realistic. As for your question about why frieren and fern don’t fly everywhere, it’ll explain this more later. For now, I’ll just say that they can’t continuously use that spell forever. Some more banger eps coming up! Himmel is goated as always🔥
