I Want To Draw More Lewd Art With Patreon Tier Updates! Feedback Welcome (Patreon)

(UPDATE! Patreon got back to me about my art. Pee/watersports is fully allowed. None of my art is a violation. And the anal knotting art with Maeven is fully allowed too! No restrictions! So I can definitely do more "Scientifically Accurate Furry Parts" art! Huge relief!)

Hello everyone! I'm planning adjustments for my Patreon tiers to expand the content I draw. And I want your help!

I leave a lot of ideas and WIP art unfinished as I don't have a place to post it. The focus of my art is often only lewd butthole shots. I want to expand!

Recent events have me thinking I can do more! Make more art and make my art more successful for me. I don't make a lot of money on this art, so I am hoping I can grow with some tier and art updates.

From a customer perspective, all you're offering is to lock off existing content types behind a higher paywall, just like you did to watersports images. Can't the new systems mean paying more for better results, not gating off what we used to have? I get you want this as a full-time job, but if you don't meet the threshold, it will be the same output with more cost to us. I've already seen the watersports content not really increase much in volume despite paying, what, two or three times as much as I used to? Why not try marketing and bringing more customers in instead, rather than making the offers look worse until people leave?

I do see what you mean. But I want to be clear the art I am talking about adding, like sex art, is something I rarely draw. It's more about adding new types of art and not just butt shots. Are you sure I have not increased the watersports content? I went from ocassionally doing 1 alt to doing sets with up to 5 or more with watersports. I never did that before.And I make pee alts for nearly every pic I draw now. I was also getting blowback for doing watersports mixed with my regular. It was costing me support. I was getting feedback saying my fetish art was driving them away when they deleted their pledge. I already think, looking at other artists around me, that I lowball the price of my art. I often pay $7-15 for the Patreons I am supporting. I do market my art, and I will be doing more. But on places like Twitter, my largest following, any advertising is deboosted. It's not as easy as it used to be. If I post a ad or mention words about supporting me, it can get deboosted. Sometimes I have to repost my art without the ad parts so it gets viewed at all.

I did not even notice that previous watersports change until you mentioned it now, the current $5 tier saying "all art" and then a higher tier that apparently has more art should be made clearer. If you want to increase the cost of tiers that is one thing, but gating content behind different levels of tiers, especially at such a higher amount, doesn't exactly thrill me. If anything give higher tiers more voting weight in polls or the ability to make more requests.

I get it. I probably shouldnt do this then. But let me explain my reasoning And for the tier descriptions, I probably missed updating the "all art" part when I updated to the watersports one. I apologize for that. I'll fix it. Reason why was I occassionally did watersports art, then some would request I do it more. And when I did, others would delete their pledges with negative feedback saying they didn't like fetish art next to the regular art. I got a ton of advice saying I was undervaluing my art and making conflicts. By having one tier with all the art I was losing as many as I was gaining. I was drawing something people requested and losing from it. And if I want to add more kinks to draw, I will just have more of those same problems. Which is why I wanted the nude tier, sex tier, and kink tier. If I need to drop the tiered art, I will lose a lot of my current support and likely not draw the kinkier work. It just conflicts with too many people. And there is no way to avoid it if it is on the same tier. You can't just block the psts you don't want to see. I also need to point out I am waiting for Patreon to respond if I can continue making pee art. It appears it is a banned theme from payment processors on Itch.io now. Doesn't mean it will be banned here, but I need to prepare in case it is. I am not going to assume it is banned. If it was, I mean, surely by now I would have had it taken down. The tier changes here is a way for me to protect my art in case it is banned. Gives the tiers more value than just one themed style of art.

It's a tough situation with the puritanical nonsense happening to payment processors, so I sympathize there. I do wish patreon gave more power to people to search for content or block specific tags, but every update they do seems to remove features. As far as the different tiers, it seems it would be a headache to feel obligated to do all this art for different tiers that have different amounts of subs in each one. I personally want you to draw what you are passionate about and not be that beholden to specific levels of tiers. I'm sorry you are losing subs for drawing what you want to make, have you thought about putting them behind a discord role, making kinks and fetish works and opt-in there? This would introduce its own issues I'm sure though.

I have a number of things I want to draw that are kinky but I don't because they will conflict with my main Patreon tier audience. Watersports was a harsh lesson. It's specialized art people will pay for, but even doing it at all is a huge "nope" for many people. It's auto-blacklisted on sites like e621. Artists that draw it often have alt accounts for it. It's why I don't post it publicly often. A few months ago I talked a lot about dropping pee art and was talked out of it. I made a higher tier for it with the advice I got. It significantly boosted my art support. It gave me so much hope! But now I might lose that specific theme. So I wanted to go ahead and draw all the themes I usually don't because, unlike pee, they are not likely to be banned unless all NSFW is banned. Which is clearly not happening. And some of those themes will be in the comic. If I don't have the comic in the sex tier, then I have to not draw things like anal squirting and such that some people don't like. Some don't like the sex art at all. It's all about the POV of the viewer type butthole art. That's what the nude tier would specialize in. So my options are branch out now, or cut some of the art I already do and not draw the new, more kinky ideas here, like the egg laying sketches and anal vore art. Anal vore will drive so many people away if I just drop that in the main tier, just like pee did. If I do drop all that art and simplify, I will lose a lot of support from getting rid of the higher tier. So I would need a way to get way more people here. If I can do that and people prefer this angle of all art on one low tier, I will do that! But be aware I can't draw the kinkier art and would need, like, double to triple the people here to get back to where I am now. Hard, brutal even, but maybe doable.

Pregnancy and egg laying? YES!!! I subscirbed mainly because of the WS art and I will stay for it, that's for sure. Now with WS having it's own tier I think it's a great idea to expand on it even further. Especially the aforementioned egg laying would be a dream. Quite the rare fetish I'd say. I do think having different tiers is probably the best solution for you, especially with the various types of themes you do. And for folks like me having to pay a little more for more niche and kinky content is totally ok. Depending on the artist, you usually pay ~10$ for "regular NSFW" content already, so I think you're really offering a lot at that price range with your level of quality! I do understand where the critique of the commenters above comes from but I can certainly understand your point of view of not wanting to lose patrons because they get overflown with kinky art that isn't for them too. Unfortunately you can't just blacklist things that aren't for you like on e621. So having different tiers kinda becomes inevitable at some point. In any case I hope you keep pushing on with your great and kinky work!!

It also takes a ton of work to organize all the different types of alts. They add up! Text, texltess, pee, the non-pee, then double it all for high and low res. Put it all in different zips for different tiers. I have to seperate the Photoshop Files too. One with the pee layers and another to upload without them for the general audience. I would love to do more kinky things and alts! But it has to be worth it. $5 for all this while people sometimes unpledge with negative feedback for the themes? Kinda brutal. And it makes me weary of it. Posting new art and watching people leave feels so bad, haha And not having the higher tiers would wipe out a major part of my support. To be transparent: I make about $1200 a month here. And the Watersports tier is $650 of that. Doing the same level of work for $650 less a month doesn't make me feel very good. That's why I wanted to expand instead of shrink my art. Do more themes! Incentive some more people to join Tier 2 for the sex art. Then draw sex work more! A little kinkier~ Then expand the pee tier to have more kinky themes. Not just one! But a number of them I can do alts and unique art for when it fits. And pee, should thatremain allowed. Which it might! I'll have to take more feedback on this to determine if this kinkier art is worth going for. I really want to! There's so much I don't draw I would like to, like pregnant alts from time to time. Some light anal vore with Assteria! Egg laying alts! I love that!

Honestly: Do what you love! I'm certain us folks in the WS tier will love all of it as well... or at least there'll be something for everyone ;) Especially with how much of the total revenue comes from that tier. Kinda combines making good money but also making something you'd be interested in drawing yourself. A win win for both you and the patrons I'd say. Losing that tier altogether would be a huge blow to not only the patrons but you as well; financially and in terms of motivation. And I've got to emphasize again how great it is to have fetish art in this super high level of quality. Truly quite rare! Again, thank you for your work, CatCouch! <3

I have a number of kinks I want to draw! Things I was afraid to do before because it won't be for everyone. If I have the support and audience for those kinky specialties, I would love to do it! Losing this tier and the support would be brutal and demotivating. There is a risk to doing it. Expectations that if I do a kink once, people may want it again and again. If I draw pregnancy, will people wanting eggs feel I am not delivering? Each new drawing that's not eggs may become a disappointment? But if many here are open to me trying more themes, finding what sticks, then heck yeah! I want to draw butt eggs and some pregnant alts, baby! And chastity cages. I love them on girl dongs~
