How I Use Likes And Comments For Feedback With Scrapped Anal Art Examples~ (Patreon)

I really do use "Likes" and "Comments" as feedback here!I posted about this on Discord so I should here too.

Likes and comments are how I assess interest in my art and it means a lot.

I want my art to be something you want to engage with, look forward too, and help shape up!

So let me clarify how I use likes and comments here since they do impact my art and I may scrap the Freya Vix art above from low interest. Scrapping anal art!? Wild, huh?

Here's why I use engagement on Patreon for feedback:

If the response is good then I feel confident and ready to make more!

Noisy anal kink art is a recent example of very positive feedback. Characters like Pharoahmone, Madame B, Candrake are good examples too

If the numbers are lower I look for 3 factor before deciding to pivot away from that art.

1 - Like number 2 - Comments 3 - If there are an unusual amount of deleted pledges If I feel art is not liked or popular I lose motivation while drawing follow up art and feel I'm disappointing you and myself. Freya Vix hit all three of the factors above.

I wanted to make 3 Freya Vix art pieces to get her rolling~

But the response to her first post, my latest art, was low. Feedback shapes up what characters I focus on and which I should scrap or change up.

(I posted about this on Discord so her numbers went up a little, but she was low enough for me to feel I should not finish the above art as follow ups).

Maybe Freya is a boring design? Maybe the lack of background feel like there isn't a scene?Maybe she's fine and you do want me to paint the anal art above?Let me know if you have thoughts~

Do like the post if you want to see more of. Likes factor in a lot!Comments are the ultimate feedback and motivator!If you don't care much for it, it's fine to not like the post too.It's valuable to me to know when you are not digging the art.

I mean I loved it :3 But perhaps some more backdrop and painted details on the characters could help a lot.

I can try more mood backgrounds and maybe drop the tan quickie background style. I was hoping for a consistent quickie style that focused on the characters. Something consistent to look forward to. But it seems it just resulted in low interest in the art. So maybe backgrounds are necessary?

She's doing anal! Thought I would post them here if I end up never painting these. If there is interest in them I can paint them, though! Add backgrounds~ Or use the poses for other characters~

Thanks for the feedback! Freya might get a second chance with this art after some feedback~ And I plan to communicate ideas more. I may do feedback sketch posts and present sketch ideas to take feedback and suggestions with. That sounds like it could work!

I'll try leaving a comment in addition to the likes more often. I'd hate to think that any of your great art would get scrapped. For the sample you posted, I really like the look of her pre-orgasm face. She looks cute trying to maintain focus before she gets hit with that built up pleasure. I love the view of her sexy fuzzy butt in the second one.

gonna say sticking to what you want to draw will eventually draw the crowd you want. but i understand the worries. personally i love the front facing sketch and the expression for example.

Though I said my piece in Discord, I'll leave a comment here too. I liked the Freya post, and don't have any issue with the quicker, less detailed pieces amidst the more detailed posts and worldbuilding bits. The Ask Annie posts especially are some of my favorites, whether simple or not. I have historically handled likes and comments more as endorsements for general direction rather than traditional engagement, but am picking up on using likes and comments more often to help show my support whenever I like a post.

I have soooo much more art than I post here. I sit on a lot of it because I can tell part way through it's likely to get a iffy response, and that can lead to large drops in support pretty fast. I am talking like as much work stays WIP as I actually finish and post here, haha And yes! I wanted to finally do more actual anal penetration art with the Freya work above! It's fun to see her about to hit orgasm from anal~ There might be a way to make that art more exciting with backgrounds?

So far it doesn't, sadly. I draw a lot of what I like for the Annie & The Mirror Goat project, but the audience and support for it often drops real quick once it is not butthole in face. it's so hard to get any excitement or interest in new characters or fleshing out the world. While I did gain support this month too, I lost roughly $140 in pledges right after I posted the SFW Kristine Rat and the Freya Vix art. Not the kind of response that makes me enthusiastic to continue that route, especially when Pharaohmone did well right before. I want to communicate my ideas more here so maybe I can salvage all this WIP art!

Ask Annie posts I was planning to move back to the lower tier and make a more open sketch and quicker art style thing. Freya above was a test for that too. But the response is so negative when I do this kind of art I have to rethink it. I lost so much support it wiped out almost all I gained from the new tier for noisy anal! That's wild! Comments and likes might be more important to me because I am shaping up a world with Annie characters and it has a lot of ideas and different directions to go in. My art is not popular fan art anymore, so it's way more fun to build a community and shape the art up in that! Posting art to little response and losing a bunch of support kinda kills it, so I end up dropping half my art and going back to detailed ass painting sets, haha I want to see if I can change that now. Find more support for all my WIP art ideas I scrapped.

do you take into account relative subscription tier numbers when you're looking at like/comment ratios? Like, a pee alt might have lower numbers, but also there might be fewer subscribers that can see it bc it's a more expensive tier (making an assumption but idk for sure. maybe there's a lot of fellow piss/noisy anal freaks out there)

I tend to not factor the pee tier like numbers n as much as the other tiers since it is a niche. I only look at them relative to other pee tier posts. If one is way different then I'll look into it more, like I had one last year that only got 2 likes for a while and had to ask about it, haha I mostly look at the main tier numbers and comments and now the anal noise tier too since they tend to be closer in numbers~
