The Beagle 2 Lander was supposed to land on Mars on Christmas day 2003, but got lost. It received a lot of media cover in the UK because it was a British probe. The fact that it looked like a 3ft Pocket watch probably inspired the stories of other objects. Edit: I continued the end of the reaction and saw the ending about dishwasher detergent 😂

If I try and imagine Karl as a kid, I see a moany middle aged bald bloke but he's 2 feet tall. The flashbacks to his weird childhood are always so funny 😄 Aw I'll miss your Karl reactions when we swap to something else, even though I know series two will come back round soon :D

Some people do go shopping on Boxing Day but most people I know just use it as a day to relax and recover from Christmas day. Eat christmas leftovers, see family, watch christmassy films/TV specials on telly etc.

I'm not sure to be honest. I'm sure some people do get gift cards and things but just going off my own family and friends, we don't exchange gift cards. We just get actual presents for eachother. The only time I remember getting a gift card was from an old job, we'd get a gift card and two bottles of wine for Xmas from the company.

Don’t rely on the visuals in this too much, because the animators are in the US everything tends to look much more American than it really would have been generally A wheelie bin is generally the trash can for your house or flat - but when you have a flat it can sometimes be a fair distance away. My American ex always found the word amusing 😂

It used to be more of a thing say 20 years ago to go out and get stuff in the Boxing Day sales but it seems way less common now, especially with online shopping
