This is our first taste of Micky Flanagan. And yes we had to rewind a few times to make sure we heard it correctly. There were a few slang words and phrases that we didn't understand. So feel free to drop the correct meanings in the comments. We're glad Micky was recommended to us, and we can't wait to do more.

When he worked out what the cleaning lady was saying, he said 'Where did Cathy put the Cillit Bang?' 😅 Cillit Bang is a brand of cleaning product, Cathy's his wife. The subtitles for that were mental 😂 At the beginning he said people could go right 'on the turn' meaning to change their opinion of him negatively. Turn against him. You'll soon get used to the way he speaks the more you're exposed to it, he speaks quite quickly which probably doesn't help 😁💚

I love Micky. I was born in Newham — the poorest borough in London, E7 — and Micky grew up just a few miles away in Bethnal Green, E1. I related to his ketchup story instantly. My wife’s from Valencia and she’s very well educated, speaks five languages and a veterinary surgeon…I normally say “vet,” but then people think she’s seen action in ’Nam, so I have to clarify.Anyway, whenever we’re in VLC and she orders gazpacho, she has to remind me not to ask the waiter to pop it in the microwave for a minute. More Micky, please! Great work as always — keep them coming.

5.58 Lisa I think you misheard the word 'fucked' as 'fat'. He said about the extra virgin oil - got to be oil that 'ain't been fucked'. Virgin/not fucked lol. Greg definitely heard it properly 😀

Pleb is the Roman term for the general population (plebeian), essentially commoners, which is what the comedy is about; and it’s been a shorthand derogatory term essentially meaning ‘classless uneducated people’ in English for a long time (predating the series by quite a margin if you were wondering which came first)
