Chess Online — Play Across Instances

Chess Online is a VRChat chess world with matchmaking that works across instances.

Sit down at a table and join the queue. You'll be matched by rating with another player, even if they're in a completely different instance.

Their name, rating, and record appear on the monitor, both clocks stay synchronized, and every rated result goes into the same global ladder.

Playing Solo

If nobody's around, or you just don't feel like playing another person, you can play against the CPU.

There are eight difficulty levels from F to GM. F starts around 800 and is meant to be approachable for new players, while GM has no rating limit.

You can also take a placement match instead of starting from the bottom. Beat one of the placement bots at 1000, 1300, 1500, 1800, 2000, or 2300 and you'll enter the ladder at that rating.

Game Review

Finished games can be analyzed by the engine.

Each move is marked as Best, Good, Inaccuracy, Mistake, or Blunder, together with the evaluation after the move. It's an easy way to find the point where a game started going wrong.

Free players can review up to 5 games per day.

Plus — $5/month

Plus adds a few extra features for players who want to get more out of the world while supporting its development.

Unlimited Reviews

The daily review limit is removed.

You'll also see the move the engine preferred and the continuation behind it, so you can check not only where you went wrong, but what you could have played instead.

AI Coaching

AI Coaching is available at CPU tables.

Turn it on and the engine will give short comments between moves — hanging pieces, threats, ideas in the position, or problems with the move you're considering.

It's meant as a learning tool, so AI Coaching is only available in CPU games and placement matches. It is never active in ranked games against other players.

Chess Online — 다른 인스턴스의 사람과 체스를 둡니다

Chess Online은 인스턴스를 넘어 매칭되는 VRChat 체스 월드입니다.

테이블에 앉아 큐에 참가하면 레이팅이 비슷한 상대를 찾습니다. 상대가 완전히 다른 인스턴스에 있어도 상관없습니다.

상대의 닉네임과 레이팅, 전적이 모니터에 표시되고 양쪽의 시계도 함께 움직입니다. 랭크 대국 결과는 모든 인스턴스가 공유하는 하나의 글로벌 래더에 반영됩니다.

혼자 플레이하기

사람이 없거나 다른 사람과 두고 싶지 않을 때는 CPU와 대국할 수 있습니다.

난이도는 F부터 GM까지 8단계입니다. F는 처음 시작하기 편한 약 800 수준이고, GM은 레이팅 상한이 없습니다.

처음부터 낮은 레이팅에서 시작하고 싶지 않다면 배치고사를 이용할 수도 있습니다. 1000, 1300, 1500, 1800, 2000, 2300 중 원하는 레이팅의 봇을 이기면 해당 레이팅에서 래더를 시작합니다.

복기

끝난 대국은 엔진으로 분석할 수 있습니다.

각 수마다 최선, 좋음, 애매, 실수, 최악 등의 판정과 함께 해당 수 이후의 평가가 표시됩니다. 어디에서 판세가 바뀌었는지 찾아보기 좋습니다.

무료 이용자는 하루 5판까지 복기할 수 있습니다.

복기 무제한

하루 복기 횟수 제한이 없어집니다.

각 수마다 엔진이 더 좋다고 판단한 수와 그 뒤의 예상 수순도 함께 볼 수 있어서, 어디서 실수했는지만이 아니라 대신 어떻게 두는 게 좋았는지도 확인할 수 있습니다.

AI 코칭

CPU 테이블에서는 AI 코칭을 켤 수 있습니다.

활성화하면 수 사이사이에 엔진이 간단한 조언을 해줍니다. 잡힐 수 있는 기물, 현재 국면에서 주의할 점, 생각 중인 수의 문제점 같은 내용을 알려줍니다.

학습용 기능이기 때문에 CPU 대국과 배치고사에서만 사용할 수 있으며, 다른 플레이어와의 랭크 대국에서는 작동하지 않습니다.
