To be fair, she probably can't get very far on foot. Not to mention she's on an island that's being patroled by a water dragon and there's no where for her to run thanks to the matrion's ability to sense things through the tree. Best she can do is kill him and then go down swinging.

Villains love to monologue ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ we can assume she'll try to escape, and possibly take down as many as she can on the way, but her chances are slim. Whether she knows that her chances are near impossible or not is up for debate, but when a deranged person is backed up in a corner, they tend to stop thinking and lash out. Also we don't know the full story behind the "importance" of Elias' existence yet, but it's safe to assume it's a thing Elae knows she can't let happen, or maybe she just wants to please her patron as best she can, so killing him now is her only chance to do so at this point. Why waste time talking about it? Again: cornered, not thinking straight, and classic villain monologue are my best guesses
