Sword fighting is still an skill, and fighting multiple enemies is very very hard. But Rezi also has more potent weapons and the option to fly. Now she probably want an fight and not wanting to simply destroy the ship

I'd rather see her have a humbling, growth experience. Fafnir has overarching themes that exist here, that racial superiority leads to dark times, each part has a place, and hubris leads to folly leads to fall.

That's valid. I'm just expecting Rezi to be forced to revert to feral form and then wipe the floor the pirates to later be reprimanded for being too lax with the situation.

I have a feeling she is in for a light to medium beating with tide turning assist from the trafficked elf. That crossbow bolt could be poisoned with something nasty or debilitating. If I were a crew that smuggled stuff from a dragon nation, I would ensure we had some sort of anti-dragon weaponry in case things went sideways. Even if it were anesthetics or paralytics, any chance to level the playing field while remaining subtle.

I dare to think perhaps he knows that there are unknown variables Rezi has yet to realize, that the statement is more a lure and distraction. That bolt could be a hidden threat, a vector for a chemical assault that will be very unfortunate for Rezi if she takes the wrong action. For instance, an alchemical oddity that prevents her from entering her feral form, and enticing her to attempt it leaves her vulnerable and infeabled.

Additionally, Mustache could be another disguised, dragon scorned demihuman, something we haven't been introduced to as a curveball.

Just another stray thought. Rezi hits Mustache with a bolt and he sheds it like water off a duck's back, then proceeds to beat the brakes off of her spouting something like "My mother was a Storm Giant, but I take after my father" as she lays bloodied and on the ropes.

I concur the elf will intervene before she suffers serious harm. I suspect Rezi has been forced to eat lots of humble pie throughout her life, being of two worlds (red and green dragons), belonging to neither. She also seems distracted, hyperactive, and likely fills her life with thrilling adventure tales to cope. I can't wait to see where this side quest goes.
