Somebody is bored for intelligent conversation. 🤣There are for sure some smart reds. I know I'm painting them all as dumb barbarian dragons. They're not. But... Well, they're certainly not walking around discussing aetheric theory. 😅

I bet after seeing Lumeniel always being disgusted by the way most members of her clan tend to act, Blaze is shocked to see her talking to a human like Elias without treating him as an inferior being, but rather as an equal. Flare's smug face is totally justified here! I bet many of us were making a similar expression as hers!

Lol. Wow. Even the Silver seems to have grown impressed with Elias and even had a decent conversation with him as opposed to her first meeting with him. Lol. Flare appearing jealous of any other female having a conversation with him and then Blaze's stunned reaction to a dragoness whom is her peer finding a mere human useful. 🤣😂

Up until this point Elias has been very show not tell about his intelligence (probably due to his home town) and hasn't really been able to show his worth to the red dragons witch i think makes this a weird "if you won't acknowledge and take care of that intelligence I will" witch (idk if this is true) feels kinda deliberate in-order to force the reds to be kinda protective of him (or rather let flare keep him). Like knowing somthing has VALUE but not knowing what it does so your not exactly willing to part with it for less than what you think you know what it's worth

That's awesome! Probably one of my favorite pages I've read recently Did Lumenial have a change of heart with our dear Elias. Sounded like she was happy to have a intellectual conversation with someone. I knew she was good inside.

Blaze is extremely happy that Elias is not only fun to be around and good for morale, but also has smarts that are functional too. Elias is growing on her fast.

There are smart reds but they are not valued for their intelligence only their physical ability. Meaning they must use their intelligence to figure out ways to make them fight better. Their self expression is only permitted in whatever way makes them Fight Gooder. So they dont have opportunities to demonstrate their intelligence to its full potential. I bet the nerds get bullied and picked on if they are too nerdy.

That's an exciting friendship but booooooy could it turn dangerous for Elias. I guess only time will tell if Lumi will end up being friend or fickle foe. I'm really glad Elias's wealth of knowledge is getting some appreciation at last

I know it's just a silly comic about magic and dragons so I shouldn't dig too deep into its science, but isn't allowing (di)oxygen in the fire-proof barrier counter productive ? That's usually the one gas you don't want to keep close to fire since it helps igniting it ^^'

I could just be spitballing here, but did Elias just rizz up Lumi by talking about his knowledge of runes, asking him to come see her in her chambers to learn more is very ou of character for her lol, she doesn't even allow other dragons to bother her much less a human.

This shows that Vesper and Luminel are keeping tabs on him. It may seem like kindness but I think Flare knows what Luminel is doing by asking him about his runic knowledge, hence why shes mean mugging her the whole time. I think Luminel is masking investigation with an invitation and Elias doesnt realize because he hasnt been treated kindly by the other dragons

Completely fair logic honestly, I'm just nitpicking at this point ^^ If you want to push the science further you can have Elias discover that fire doesn't need air but only oxygen to remain :3 But then he would have to find another way to protect himself from fire ^^'
