Secret Care Cafe 0.9.4 - release notes and download (Patreon)

Hey there!

Today's update is a bit different. It was fighting with me too. I've spent a lot of time on this, probably more than I should. I've remade the first events that you get at the start of the new game (day 0 and intro). These are the only event's I'll be remaking like that - the purpose was that it's the first event the players see, so I wanted to update it to current standards and not only small head movement in the entire new cg. Now I won't have to start showing someone the game with 'don't look at these, these are old, there are better now' while talking about cgs xD

Because few people asked about it, I kept the old cgs and added a few old ones that aren't used anymore to the gallery to 'extras' in the 'legacy' category. I also put some cgs that won't be used anymore for story reasons. Maybe I'll add comments to them at some point, but no need to think about it now.

The Panic button was added to the game. When the game is minimized or not in focus, it now changes name to 'Notepad' and shows some of my code in the notepad screenshot to hide itself from praying eyes. I made it customizable so you can manually change it to something else to make it more fit-table for you - you can change the name in panic.txt to anything you want and put your own screenshot in the panic folder too. Do you want someone to think you are in your work-excel? Or maybe that you are playing some strategy game? Ez, SCC is looking out for you.You can also activate it on your own by pressing F1, but the option has to be turned on in the Settings.

For a few events I'm adding choices that were requested by few people, but rewriting events to txt and basically coding them in again is time consuming, for now I've added one (Cynthia's sport guys nsfw event) and I'm working on others. This choice was requested to disregard meeting the guys - doing this locks you out of sport event client events, but gives you a bit of favor with Cynthia. Do note that this will stop her mindbreak.

Buttons! OMG! So Exciting! The best part of the whole game - no I'm joking and I know its not interesting, but I'm making as many buttons as I can (or at least text in them) to be engine generated so the translations won't take up space in megabajts but in code only. I should have thought about it before, but, damn.

Because of the lack of 'new' events in this build, I'll try to release a new update in a week (before the end of the month) with few events that I have partially completed and some I'm missing CGs.

If you find any bugs, let me know, I'll fix them up for the next build.

Secret Care Cafe release notes ver 0.9.4

- updated all the CGs in intro events to be up to par with the latest ones, changed some the text in them and rewritten the events to txt format

- added Aria's butt animation to GH (in basic and in Halloween skin)

- added a Panic Button option: when this option is active, when the game window is minimized or not the main working window, music stops, the game stops, the name of the application changes to 'Notepad' by default (you can change it in panic.txt file to any name you want) and the screen gets covered by fake notepad screen of some of my code. You can also change the screen cover manually by changing the file in: Sprites\panic\panic.png. You have to click in the game window to activate the game again. You can manually activate and deactivate it by clicking F1. The option must be enabled in the settings to work. Works on every screen of the game.

- added extra choice, small text changes and rewritten the event to txt format for nsfw sport guy's event with Cynthia

- updated the look of Mode-change-slider

- changed some buttons from sprites to be generated in-engine, this way translations will be easier to implement and the buttons won't take up space

- translations progress is going forward, translators are way faster with their work than I am with adding it to the game: I've set up things for implementing translations and Title screen is translated now.

- added new languages to the settings (French, German, Turkish and Norwegian) and few French events are translated now

- added Turkish fonts (nice one and readable one)

- added a sound when you successfully find and click the secret

- as few people requested added legacy cgs to Extras in the gallery: few old cgs for your viewing pleasure (plus some extra cgs that won't be used for sure), closed it behind Patreon build

- fixed some GH camera animations not fitting into it's borders

- fixed some textures being wrongly assigned making some animations load slowly

- fixed Kawa crashing game while buying her gloryhole upgrade

- fixed Kawa's VJ miniature animation in GH still having Ame's animation

- fixed crashing because of infinite loop

- fixed Kawa's AJ not unlocking

- fixed crashing in new events in other than english languages

- fixed Sergil's invite skill being infinite use

- fixed issue with sometimes wrongly named builds, now it should be easier for me to track it

- fixed one opportunity resetting Cafe popularity or Aria's popularity to low value

- some more little performance adjustments

Download instructions:

For those using the segmented downloads, you need to download all files ending with Patreon.7z. In this case, part 1, part 2, part 3 and part 4. Extract all files in one folder then you can play the game by double-clicking the .exe file.

Other external links (Google Drive, Mega, etc) have the game  in one package file. Use any Zip program (7zip or WinRAR) to extract the files then you  can play the game by double-clicking the .exe file.

If you have the previous version, you can download JUST the update file. Just extract or copy-paste the files of the update   into the game folder with the previous version. Remember to click "yes" when asked to replace files with the same name. Also, please double check your game's version number and update version file. Otherwise, you will have visual bugs and will have to redownload the game completely.

If you are having graphical issues or some scenes don't load, download the full version of the game and not the update alone.
