Sneak Peek: Out After Dark (SPOILERS) (Patreon)

Hey everyone! I hope you guys enjoyed v1.8.0! It's been about two weeks since it launched, and I'd love to hear everybody's thoughts on it. Also, a big welcome to all the new patrons joining us! I'm grateful for your support, it truly means the world and helps keep this project going

Anyway, here's a sneak peek that picks up directly from where v1.8.0 ended: with Bart and Penny!

Without spoiling anything, it looks like Bart had himself a fall while walking in the dark. But why is he so far out here at night with Penny? And more importantly, what's with that cloak he's wearing? That's definitely not his usual tavern outfit.

I'd love to hear your theories on what's going on with Bart and Penny, and what direction the story could be headed. There's clearly more to this scene than meets the eye, and I'm curious what you all think is happening!

v1.9.0 development is officially underway, and I'll try to come out with more polls and sneak peeks very soon. Stay tuned!

Bart doesn't seem like the type to hide things from his daughter which might explain why Penny is there as well... and given the fact that they're both still wearing their aprons that implies that they were both still at the tavern beforehand. My best guess is Bart noticed MC walking around this late and he got curious about what MC was up to, he used a cloak to disguise his identity and followed MC. That would make sense why he's outside of Hazel's building and Bart likely fell because he panicked when MC came out so suddenly. At least that's what I believe happened 🤔

Interesting puzzle, Penny isn't hiding from Bart so she is there with his knowledge, the aprons suggest they either left the tavern in a hurry, or they kept them on because they wanted to keep their clothes clean while they do what ever it is... That cloak though, it's a full cloak with hood, and the clasp securing it appears to be a silver leaf (not an oak leaf but not sure what beyond that), wearing something like that suggests stealth or a desire to not be recognized, maybe they were meeting someone to purchase those rare herbs without declaring them (shades of hazel), or they were possibly trespassing to find those herbs, in any case I think the cloak has some special meaning. You are a devious developer giving a mystery like this LMAO

Hazel promised fresh squid for calamari and that is why she was in her "predicament" is my guess :) Bart is just going to harvest it

Hey Cactus. The last chapter felt kind of rushed and given the circumstances, it was understandable. For Amber's section, the map puzzle was a classic, but lacking since most of the other mini games so far had multiple stages. The sudden transition from a possible new adventure with Amber and Bree to Amber already digging it up was disappointing. Hazel's section was good, but her meeting Bree off screen, her lack of surprise and it getting swept under the rug for the plot was also disappointing. Bree did look adorable pouting and covered in dirt, good job. Mabel's section was also alright, but once again it felt like Bree's residency was an afterthought. I love that you made a soft looking sheep girl dominate. The final scene with Hazel confused me. With the possibility of her losing all her new sex toys, I thought she would be using them before they were confiscated. But then suddenly tentacles? For Bart, I think he's going out for a guy's night since Lily's dad is back in town for a while. Maybe we get chamoes of other characters' parents even if they don't play any major roles in the story. We did hear Roxie reference her mother a few times.

That is 100% the cloak that the fellowship receives in LOTR in Lothlorein. It even has the leaf clasp that Merry used to tell Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli how to find them when they were tracking the Uruk-Hai. With that context clue, the only guess I have is going to Mordor to destroy a ring, or taking the hobbits to Isengard

Actually, the leaf clasp they get is green and distinctly different. I made sure of it since I did make it LOTR inspired :) Fantastic catch!

Hey i have a couple of small suggestions as QoL changes. 1) add a save option when you hit an end of game state so you dont have to go bac and save right before the game ends 2) scene hints? theres a lot of missing scenes and I'm sure some are Morgan at least but theres quite a few missing from my library maybe have a tag for character and chapter to figure out where it is to unlock 3) chapter select so you can get missing scenes ^^
