Deuxan and Fithan Anatomy (Patreon)

Before the above images, wanted to mention that The Brightest Shadow was selected for the Beloved SFF Sale! More info at that link, if you want to pick up that series for a low price. ^-^

Enough anatomy images are coming in that we can do two at once, as these are simpler humanoid worlds. Deuxan and Fithe, getting into some traits I don't; think have been mentioned in the books, as well as some background historical information that definitely wasn't. Not sure I have much to add on these, otherwise.

I have heard the complaints from some about fonts being difficult to read. We've been toying with this, and you'll see some new examples in later worlds, but the long working times on these means that some details are delayed. Hopefully at the end they can all be made consistent.

The Dust Fithan section says "tops of their skills" rather than "skulls". It's cool to get hints of previous sapient species on Deuxan. I guess they are similar to the Neanderthals and Denisovans who we once shared Earth with.

Cool stuff! I guess Deuxans don't have too many worries about heavy metal poisoning. ^.^ Though it might be a concern for visitors.

Most of these typos have been due to the methods used by the artist, but this one... looks like that's just a mistake on my part. Will be fixed in the final version, thanks! Yes, while they aren't analogues, I was definitely thinking of other species alongside homo sapiens.

It would be more complex and risky than a standard enhancing Corporeal Floor, but not as complex/risky as some of the transformations soulcrafters attempt.

Correct on both counts. I haven't had the opportunity to return to it, but Theo comments on this back in the second book.

The cursive gives a neat vibe, similar to the art in the Stormlight Archive. But yeah, I can see how it would be hard to read for many, especially non-native English speakers who don't have an equivalent cursive in their native language.

The font would be fine on a printed page, but on a phone screen not so much.

“their offspring are sterile” - is being sterile something you could theoretically use soulcrafting to remedy in yourself? (A soulhome dedicated to fertility? Or could you get away with a single room?)

Interesting question. It would heavily depend on the complexity of the sterility: minor infertility problems might be resolved with enhancement, and if it's due to a known illness or injury, soulcrafting can potentially heal those. Few on the Nine Worlds have detailed genetic knowledge, however, so in many cases they wouldn't know the reason. If there's an underlying factor that isn't understood, you wouldn't know what to soulcraft to resolve the infertility. In the case of hybrids, where there's a major chromosomal problem, it would require both scientific knowledge and an aggressive Corporeal Floor reshaping the body on a fundamental level.
