Alright, with Siata this set of Nine Worlds Anatomy is complete! I hope that you have enjoyed seeing all the species drawn out, as well as hinting at various processes and regions to come.

There's too much in the pipeline, I want to release it all, but I think you'll be getting chapters next week.

Thank you for this, the art is awesome, and the lore is too! Try to get some relaxing in, don't burn yourself out

Thank you, these are awesome! I’m sure it’s already been suggested, but at some point in the (far) future, example demon illustrations would be great to see.

I actually have plans for this and have spoken to artists, but I don't know when they will actually come to fruition. Definitely want to get to them at some point!

Siatan question(s): 1. Guchiro talks about them “going to sleep and awaken as a new being that began as a higher tier of soulcrafter” - is this an overgeneralisation or is it somehow rarer than indicated to actually go up an entire rank? (So they don’t all end up as an entire world of rank 9 soulcrafters) 2. Whatever the answer to the above, is Siata *generally* a higher-level soulcrafting world? (In the same sense that Noven seems to tend more towards Authorities than Tatian or Fithe) (Obvious asterisk asterisk disclaimer etc, because if there’s one thing these lovely 9 illustrations have driven home over the last few months, it’s not to generalise about an entire world!)

sarahlin

Guchiro is specifically talking about when Siatans reach certain limits, but not every rebirth includes an upgrade. They do have a life cycle of cycles that means they're ultimately mortal, it's just distinctly non-human. Speaking in generalizations, Siata has many first tier soulcrafters but fewer who ascend multiple times, so you don't see as many "heavily armed" areas. The individuals who are exceptions to that rule, however, are higher tier than average for most worlds.

Elliott

Awesome, thank you!

I hope our series reviews were helpful.

sarahlin

I'm very grateful for them! You never know which piece made the difference, but I can tell you that the total of everything (including reviews) was strong enough that it was a positive instead of a negative.

Jormungandragon

So Siatans effectively stay the same population number forever, unless one is killed and then there is one less forever? Seems like over time there would be a downward trend until eventually there would be no more Siatans. Is that the case?

sarahlin

While some areas have declining populations for this very reason, there are other factors that can lead to population increase. We'll get into all of it once the story gets to Siata... eventually.

Solusandra

Could a satian enshroud someone else in one of those flowers? And how precise is the characteristic trade?

sarahlin

It wouldn't have any effect. They do have some flowers that other species could use for rejuvenation, to varying degrees. If you're referring to characteristics on the other side of the process, it's pretty fluid and spiritual.

Solusandra

Pity. Would have been fun way to write becoming a kitsune.
